Pizza is a 5 , salad a 4 , service 4.5, beer selection 4, but the bruschetta was a 2 . Basically large bread knots with some very tasty bruschetta topping on it . Way to much bread , bruschetta is all about the topping with a nice thinner crunchy base for it to sit on. We will go back .. just no bruschetta.

Yum pizza, good vibe. We had to wear masks going in (of course). Only drawback was having to pay and order drinks and all food as you walk in at the front register. Just the menu that’s glued to the table at the register to look at; with a party fo five and some kids this is hard picking and ordering under pressure. LOL We tried to to order quickly, may have ordered better and some different items if we had time to look the menu over.... Music and vibe was nice, beers were good. Enjoyed the hand thrown pizza baked in the pizza oven. Nice and cool inside. Really cute town and a few open shops to look at on a Sunday afternoon. I’d imagine it’s a really fun spot when there is live music. Outside on the deck the seating looked nice too.

While traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic we ended up doing a lot of takeout pizza. This was some of the best and definitely the most creative. We had The Appalachian and an Italian. An apple butter base for a pizza? Gotta try it. It was seriously good with sausage and onion, and so was the more traditional but just as good Italian pizza. Ordering was easy and quick and service was friendly. I wish they were local!

Been going to Dogtown for over 9 years, through a few ownership changes. Ownership changed again a couple months ago and last night was our second try at it. First time we figured the new ownership was still finding their way on service but they should have been able to put out a better pizza than the soggy mess we got. We had gone soon after they opened so perhaps the wood fired oven wasn’t hot enough but that is part of a restaurants prep. So we figured we would go an hour or so after opening this time in hopes they’d be more organized. Walk in, hostess dressed in daisy dukes and filthy sneakers. Not the best first impression owners should want their customers to get. Get seated and waitress can’t explain what beers are on tap and the beer menu is a mess of sharpie cross outs. Took over 15 minutes to get a beer and a glass of wine as bar tender was walking around chomping on a piece of pizza or at times just not behind the bare as we were not the only people with unusually long wait times for a beverage. Took over 35 minutes for the pizza to come after it was ordered. Also had Caesar salads at the cost of $8 with dressing right out of a bottle and about a bucks worth of ingredients, maybe. At least the pizza was cooked properly and tasted good. We were informed that they were trying out a new system and perhaps ungraciously, I told our server it wasn’t working. Not her fault so she was tipped properly. Can’t blame her. Anyway, Dogtown will get one more shot on the premise of 3 strikes and your out. We have been in the food service business for over 40 years along the east coast. Although Floyd is a small mountain town, that doesn’t mean someone should not expect some level of quality when dining out.

Stopped in for an early dinner around 5 pm on a Sunday. We were seated outside, where we proceeded to wait and wait and wait. We had to ask for waters three times; asked for our alcoholic drinks twice. We had no plates, no utensils, no napkins. Had to ask for all these items. Overheard the couple next to us ask for their bottle of Merlot 4 times before it was brought. Then we waited 20 minutes for our waiter to acknowledge us and bring the check. He did give us the cost of a beer off our check. The pizza was not good. It appeared too hot to eat, but then the cheese was a coagulated mess of coldness. The olive oil from the pesto was pooled up all over the pizza. The added pulled chicken had a terrible texture to it. At least the crust was good. I never complain about food, but this was not good. Options were very limited- we will drive on from this one next time.

Stopped by on a recommendation from the B&B we were staying at and couldn’t be happier. The staff were friendly, service was attentive and the wood fired pizzas were first class. To top it off they had a great selection of craft beers on draft.

During a recent stay in Floyd we put in a to go order for a pepperoni pizza, meatball sandwich and fries. The pizza was excellent! Hot, fresh, perfect sauce/cheese/dough ratio. The fries might be the best we have ever had. The meatball sandwich was very good, but took us by surprise. We were thinking about a usual meatball sub, but the menu very much described what we got, that was on us. It turned out to be just fine, no sauce but the seasoning, and toppings created a taste of the same effect! We will be sure to dine here again the next time we are in town!

The Dog Town Road House was bustling on the Thursday evening we ate there. Arriving at 5:30 pm we were able to get a seat right away, They have lots of different beers as you might expect. We ordered the meat lovers pizza and it did not disappoint. The 6 good sized pieces of pizza had good flavor and was delicious! We would eat there again.

Great hand thrown specialty pizza and craft beer enjoyed in an old shirt factory building. Live music is enjoyed on certain nights. Tonight (Thursday) was Trivia Night. Service was great and a good time was enjoyed.

Ordered Appalachian and meat lovers pizza. Appalachian was a bit sweet, For me, instead of a tomato based pizza sauce they used apple butter. Husband got meat lovers. Really love a wood fire pizza.

Last evening I went to Dogtown and ordered the Smash Burger & fries, it was very good and would recommend it. I took notice of an African American couple who came in via the gate facing the street as the gentleman was in a wheelchair. They were seated within 4 feet of me so I noticed quickly they were not provided a menu, utensils or even acknowledged by the waitstaff. After I paid my check I took a seat further away on the patio overlooking the Park to observe how this was going to play out. Eventually the lady accompanying the wheelchair bound gentleman got up and obtained a menu from the hostess, still quite some time passed before they were acknowledged and while I didn't hear exactly what the waiter said I distinctly heard him say "there must have been some misunderstanding". Logical this would have been in response to an inquiry made by the lady guest. Shortly thereafter the gentleman guest attempted to ask a question of a different waiter who simply walked by dismissively when I heard him state "you'll have to ask your waiter". I noted this restuarant was not in the slightest bit crowded or busy, so I ask you Dogtown staff, do you know kindness, patience or hospitality. I couldn't imagine how this couple felt, they were not treated as the other diners were, read into that what you will. After this couple was finally able to place an order I requested the waiter give me they're check which I quickly paid. Before I departed I told the couple I oberved the entire interaction or lack thereof and told them dinner was on me. They deserved better treatment, so Dogtown you dropped the ball on this one. Try some kindness and understanding, I won't cost you anything.

Amazing tasting Pizza. You can tell that they use fresh cheese. The crust was light and crisp. My family of four split tow pizza's. You have the option to sit inside or outside. We were there on week day evening. They do have music on the weekends

Really good wood fired pizza. Lots of craft brews and always eclectic music in a well worn local place that just keeps on keeping on. Not fancy but always solid bet

Visiting the area and came upon this place and have it a try. We built our pizza with goat cheese and prosciutto, so good! The mixed drinks were very refreshing and tasty. Our server Tiffany did an awesome job as she was dealing with a rude and obnoxious customer but kept her cool and was very professional! Kudos to her! Best place to stop and eat!

Had to sit outside but it ended up being a beautiful day. Pizza and wings were amazing as always. Wait staff checked on us withoutbeingannoying. No live music going on right now but overlooking the park spending time with friends what could be better.
