We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the restaurant on the deck, with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Dinners are only served Friday and Saturday evenings, though.

My wife and I just had lunch at Chateau M. It's in a very pretty location along the BR Parkway. The menu had a nice variety of small plates, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. I had the tomato/basil soup and shrimp and grits. Both were very well prepared. My wife enjoyed crab cakes and a salad. Service was very good and... More

Thank you for the very nice review and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to Chateau Morrisette. Our menu changes seasonally, as much of what we serve is grown on the estate. Chef Cooper Brunk likes to keep a variety of items on the menu and while the lunch menu is a bit more casual with sandwiches, the dinner menu... More

We visited Chateau Morrisette on a Sunday morning. The setting was beautiful and they have a good selection of dry to sweet wines. I only wish I lived in the area so I could visit more often!

Thanks for the nice review and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit with us. The winery and restaurant are open year round so there are plenty of opportunities to come back and see us. Winery hours are consistent, open daily, year-round. The restaurant hours vary by time of year so it's always best to check the website for current hours... More

We stopped in to see the facility and take a tour. We knew we'd have some wine, but that was it for the level of planning. The facility is attractive, with a setting that provides a nice view. They also have a number of places to sit outside and enjoy wine. We took a tour at 3 PM (no reservation)... More

Thank you for the nice review and feedback. If you ever have a specific question about varietals or the process, we would be happy to answer it for you. Sometimes, the guide may be new and not have an answer but they all have been instructed to contact our winemaker or cellar technician to get an answer for you. We... More

If you're traveling either the Blue Ridge Parkway, or the Crooked Road, this place is not to be missed. Fine dining is hard to find around these parts, but here it is! Prices are not unreasonable, especially at lunch. (They're only open for dinner on weekends.) Take the time to try some wines, too. You're in the South, so what's... More

Thank you for the very nice review. The restaurant is open for lunch Wednesday through Sunday and on the weekends, all day from 11AM until 9PM. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The winery is open seven days a week. A tasting lasts about 30 minutes and includes a sample of ten different wines. Tours are offered at scheduled times throughout... More

Best winery I've ever visited. Staff was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Wine prices were reasonable and the selection of the accessories were plentiful. The view is awesome. Strongly recommend a wine tasting...reasonably priced for tasting 12 different bottles of wine.

Thank you for the wonderful review. I will share your comments with the staff. Our normal tasting includes ten wines but if there is a particular wine you'd like to taste that's not on the sheet, our tasting hosts will try to accommodate your request. On busy days, it's a bit harder to do. We also offer private Elite Tastings... More

Lot's of hype about a very expensive restaurant along the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you drink enough of their wine before your meal is served, you may be happy with what is on the plate. The atmosphere/ambiance is very nice, the views from the spacious porch are spectacular, the service is very attentive but the food we had was just... More

Thank you for your feedback on your dining experience. I will share your comments with Chef. While it is true that we do not offer baked potatoes, you do have the option of selecting horseradish mashed potatoes to accompany your steak. The classically seasoned pomme frites (french fires) have been very well received by most of our guests, however I... More

Great wines, tasty foods and beautiful mountain views are just a few of the highlights of Chateau Morrisette. The service at both the winery and restaurant is fantastic. Just a few blocks off of the Blue Ridge Parkway makes this an easy destination. This was out third visit and we will return many more times!

Thanks for the very nice review and kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit with us. Since the US Park Service does not allow us to place signage along the Parkway, it can be a bit tricky to find, even though we are only 300 feet to the west. We encourage everyone to print directions before leaving home. Please... More

The restaurant was really good. Made a reservation even though they weren't that busy since they can get very busy. Didn't have a large menu and I wasn't excited about a lot of the food because I don't like fish. Should have checked prior to going. I did have the filet and fries and it was delicious. The bread was... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback and I will share your comments with the Chef. We actually have three menus: a lunch menu, dinner menu and a Sunday brunch menu. Description
Chateau Morrisette offers fine dining in a casual setting. Located along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, Virginia, Chateau Morrisette sits at 3500 feet with spectacular views of the valley below. Chef Cooper Brunk creates authentic Appalachian-French fusion cuisine designed to pair with the wide assortment of wines produced in our cellar. Guest favorites include Our Dog Blue paired with Bacon-wrapped Shrimp with Grits, herb crusted sirloin with Petit Verdot, lamb paired with Chambourcin, and our Chateau Filet paired with Merlot. Vegetarians enjoy a variety of dishes as well. With two estate gardens, Chateau Morrisette provides seasonal offerings to insure quality and freshness. Guest may dine by the fire in the colder months or outside on our terrace in the warmer months. And of course, a visit to Chateau Morrisette is not complete without a stop in our Tasting Room for a sampling of our wines and a little shopping for unique gifts and accessories.
