Stopped here after a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Had a very good lunch with a great view. Jennifer was my very nice server who addressed my every need with the ultimate courtesy. The food I had was very good.

Really excellent dinner in a lovely setting. The salads and wine pairings were lovely. So good that bought the bottle.

We came here just because we were in the area and wanted a nice meal. We got much more. Outside dining provided a spectacular view. It was quiet ( not a given ). Our sever, Jennifer if I correctly recall, was always there when we need her, polite and never intrusive. The food was very well prepared. I found the... More

Thank you for the excellent rating and the very nice review. I'm glad you enjoyed the outdoor dining. During the cooler weather when the outdoor terrace is closed, the restaurant boasts three working, wood burning fireplaces. This is always very well received by our guests. While we cannot guarantee fireside seating for everyone, the fireplaces are usually within view from... More

While enjoying and overlook along the Parkway we struck up a conversation with another couple and they told us about the great wines and restaurant served at Chateau Morrisette. It is a little tricky to find (you just have to ask the locals). We arrived close to 5 PM so were unable to do a tasting. The restaurant is only... More

Thank you for the nice review and I'm sorry your timing didn't allow you to take advantage of all the winery has to offer. We are located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway between Milepost 171 and 172 in Floyd, County. The National Park Service does not allow commercial signage along the Parkway so we encourage visitors to print directions... More

Make sure your travel incised the cask or winter to experience the fire while dining. The deck is nice too on pretty days. Excellent service and delicious food . Champagne is best! If not into a gourmet plate?, cheese burger is awesome! Do the winery before you eat...fun day...music in the summer!

Thanks for the very nice review. Terrace dining in the warmer weather is very popular. During the cooler months, the Chateau Morrisette Restaurant offers three working, wood-burning fireplaces which creates a very nice ambiance for dining. The views are nice year round. The winery hours differ from the restaurant hours, so we encourage guests to check the website, Trip Advisor... More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the restaurant on the deck, with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Dinners are only served Friday and Saturday evenings, though.

My wife and I just had lunch at Chateau M. It's in a very pretty location along the BR Parkway. The menu had a nice variety of small plates, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. I had the tomato/basil soup and shrimp and grits. Both were very well prepared. My wife enjoyed crab cakes and a salad. Service was very good and... More

Thank you for the very nice review and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to Chateau Morrisette. Our menu changes seasonally, as much of what we serve is grown on the estate. Chef Cooper Brunk likes to keep a variety of items on the menu and while the lunch menu is a bit more casual with sandwiches, the dinner menu... More

Description
Chateau Morrisette offers fine dining in a casual setting. Located along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, Virginia, Chateau Morrisette sits at 3500 feet with spectacular views of the valley below. Chef Cooper Brunk creates authentic Appalachian-French fusion cuisine designed to pair with the wide assortment of wines produced in our cellar. Guest favorites include Our Dog Blue paired with Bacon-wrapped Shrimp with Grits, herb crusted sirloin with Petit Verdot, lamb paired with Chambourcin, and our Chateau Filet paired with Merlot. Vegetarians enjoy a variety of dishes as well. With two estate gardens, Chateau Morrisette provides seasonal offerings to insure quality and freshness. Guest may dine by the fire in the colder months or outside on our terrace in the warmer months. And of course, a visit to Chateau Morrisette is not complete without a stop in our Tasting Room for a sampling of our wines and a little shopping for unique gifts and accessories.
