A quaint restaurant in a repurposed large house, They also have a very nice outside porch which allows you to bring a dog if you're so inclined. We had a party of 6 for lunch, and had a very attentive waitress who was very accommodating...and flexible. Food was excellent. Very nice placeMore

Enjoyed a delightful dinner at the pub in Flint Hill. Food was superb and wine selection reasonably priced. Service was excellent.

We ate lunch in the pub twice. Very good. It's not trying to get a Michelin star or anything (and not the level as the Blue Door "next door" for a nice dinner). But it's a great pub and the pub food was exceptional both...days. Good beer selection and a fun/friendly bar staff. We certainly hope to return whenever we're in the area.More

Yesterday was our most recent visit to Griffin Tavern and, as in the past, we’re very glad we stopped. Even though the parking lot was quite full, we were greeted immediately on entering and shown to a quite nice outdoor table. We like the selection...of draft beers & cider and our drink order was quickly taken and fulfilled by our brilliant and attentive server Celeste. My wife ordered the Greek Salmon Salad and I ordered the Charcuterie Tray and Fried Oyster appetizers. The charcuterie tray was good, but the kitchen really nailed the seafood. The oysters were HUGE and were cooked PERFECTLY. The salmon was likewise prepared to perfection. All three items arrived at just the right time and at exactly the right temperature. Our experience was as good as restaurant dining gets.More

The restaurant is in a large house with a wide porch for outdoor dining. Inside, we were seated in a front room with ample spacing of tables. We enjoyed seeing the guests arrive and there were many on this weeknight. The gaspacho was excellent; mildly...spicy and thick consistency. A diner raved about the peach salad which included arugula and burrata cheese. The spiced shrimp appetizer was a main course for one diner. Delicious and plenty of napkins were provided with a bowl for shells. Our waitress did an excellent job.More

I am a 75 year old American dining with his wife. I ordered the fillet and she ordered the greek salmon salad. Ordinary. Could get this at Olive Garden or Outback steakhouse. One irritating thing is the noise. We were in the room just off...the entrance and there were only 6 people in the room but it was so noisy I couldn't hold a conversation with my wife. Barren room with no curtains or table cloths or anything to absorb any noise. Food was OK but that's it. Couple of flies near the end of the meal. Price was OK - not a rip off. PLENTY of better places than this in nearby towns. Service was perfunctory and disengaged. One other note that some might find meaningful - overheard the owner (maybe just the manager - I don't really know) saying that not all the staff was vaccinated.More

Loved the atmosphere and our dinner - including the spicy shrimp dish, caesar salad and a grilled salmon salad - all were delicious. Good mix of local and imported beers!

I do not recommend this location. The front door sign says face masks are required yet they let anyone in without one, including staff. They are not following local guidelines and diners should beware!More

It lacks the sophistication of american grills that you would expect around Little Washington and in rural Virginia more broadly. This is just a small rural town taberna.

We went there for dinner while staying at the Blue Door Inn, right down the street. We requested outside, and were seated on the porch. George was our server and he was exceptional. We had a local beer. We started with a Grilled Watermelon Salad...and a House Salad, both were delicious and a good size. We shared a Bangers and Mash - also delicious. For dessert we had a locally made piece of German Chocolate Cake. They do take reservations. Everything was exceptional, including the prices.More
