We haven't been there for almost a year even though we are 15 minutes away. We simply enjoy cooking at home. Tonight my wife almost insisted we go out and it was a great choice! Erin was our server and she recommended the citrus salad with goat cheese which was very fresh and delicious. I had the filet and ordered... More

We've been to the Flint Hill Public House many times over the past few years. The setting is lovely and the back patio is always fun for an evening out. We had stopped going as the food was nothing special and the service and management were not great. That has all changed with the recent upgrade of management, wait staff,... More

Went with two friends who live out that way, near the Shenandoah Mountains and who visit relatively often. Upon entering saw the main restaurant with some attractive furnishings, There was a delay in anyone coming out to greet us for our 7pm reservation, but we eventually were seated on the outdoor terrace as requested. Lovely grounds. We ordered drinks from... More

You were seated at the end of a very busy Memorial Day weekend and at a time when we were replacing chefs and had run out of many items on the menu. The new chef started this week and has already revamped and expanded the menu. The server should have been explained that our last delivery of catfish fillets were... More

My husband and I stayed here overnight on April 15, 2016 and had dinner in the restaurant. It was a lovely relaxing experience. We arrived and received a bottle of wine when we checked in. The Washington Suite where we stayed was large and comfortable with windows overlooking the front of the Public House. We spent some time walking around... More

My husband and I attended a brunch sponsored in conjunction with Desert Rose Ranch and Winery. The pairings were perfect; the food in and of itself throughout the five courses was excellent. The grounds and patio looked pretty even in the misty rain. Service was impeccable. We shall return!

Had lunch on April 20, 2016 with a friend. Decided on eating on the deck. Several other outdoor locations to choose from. Good crowd --about 20 people. Service was efficient, professional. Management stopped by to chat with us. I had the club sandwich -- the ham and chicken is cut from real hams and chickens. Thick slices, not some "lunch... More

Stayed her with some friends. We enjoyed dinner and sat in the bar afterwards and listened to a great country singer. Drinks were a bit on the expensive side and the bar is small, but comfortable. Our overnight stay was nice. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I will be going back with family.

Thanks for coming and glad you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to having you come back. As for the drink prices, we don't charge a cover for the music and much to the chagrin of other venues in the area, we keep our prices as low as possible. Next time explore with the bartender some of our drink specials... More

A friend and I were at a B&B near here and decided to check out Flint Hill Public House for dinner. It was a suggestion from the Innkeeper and we were not disappointed. The service was very good and our meals were served with a smile. I enjoyed the Chicken Francaise which was very good.
