I have been a member of a group that has spent thousands of dollars in this place. Most of the time, the food and service have been acceptable until my last trip. We went there for dinner. The waiter wanted to know how I wanted...my salmon cooked. I said to cook it to 140 degrees. He asked if that was medium. I told him that I didn't know what medium was but I did know what 140 degrees is. This caused him to cop a severe, hostile attitude. The salmon came out sushi-grade, cold in the center. It was disgusting and inedible. Two others in our group ordered steaks. Medium rare and medium. The medium-rare came out rare and the medium came out with a cold bloody center. The diners exchanged their entrees. This resulted in the manager coming to the table wanting to know what could be done. Other than getting a thermometer for the cook and doing something about a waiter with a hostile attitude, I don't know what could be done other than not going back to this place that obviously could care less about customer satisfaction.More
Stellar food, service and atmosphere! Both indoor and outdoor dining with heaters, fireplace and plexiglass enclosures. Service couldn't have been better - friendly, knowledgeable, efficient - and the food was among the best we've had anywhere, here or abroad! The appetizers were great - the...best gnocchi and burrata we've had (including in Italy) ! Among the entrées, the Chioppino was outstanding - generous amounts of first-rate seafood in a delicious tomato-garlic broth with house-made angel-hair pasta and dense country-style cheese bread. The Papardelle with meat sauce was also excellent, as were the Dayboat scallops and the Chilean Sea Bass. And to top it all off, a to-die-for (or from!) dark chocolate Torte! We can't wait to return!!More
Thank you for your glowing review! It is a true honor for our dishes to be compared to those you've had in Italy. Your support means so much to us. We look forward to hosting you again soon! Kindest Regards, Maggie (Brand + Community Manager)
The atmosphere is delightful, dark woods, comfotable leather chairs, and lovely lighting. The food was remarkable, try the raw tuna on wontons, their take on nachos. The pork belly is not to be missed. I didn't think the calamari was anything special so I would...skip. The dinner was a hit with pork chops, shrimp and grits and scallops. I felt the big raved about fries needed more flavor but the Brussel sprouts were great. Excellent service and I will return!More

Trio is not much talked about in food connoisseur circle in northern Virginia but it ranks in gourmet food and service around the finest. They have a limited menu but their culinary excellence exudes in whatever they offer in steak and seafood. I had a...seabass which was cooked to perfection but the gravy was on sweet side. I also tasted their steak a bit, cooked medium to perfection. Staff was super friendly, you’ll want to go back again and again. The only issue could be tight parking, the lot was absolutely full on a Wednesday evening. Certain restaurants in northern VA can rival fine dining in DC and NY, Trio is a living proof.More
Hello, we are so glad you enjoyed your dining experience! Thank you for joining us and we hope to host you again soon!
We were four in the table, and all of us got different dishes; and all of them were excellent. The place has fair prices for such a good food and service.
Went for restaurant week and the selections for the special week had choices we liked. Salmon with corn succotash was delicious and with the right portion to leave room for dessert. Key lime pie is one of the best I've had with the perfect amount...of tartness and sweetness. Sydney was a great server that checked on us at the right times. Other helpers were very kind and made sure our drinks were filled and cleaned our table on a timely basis. Sam the general manager is outstanding and gave us a hearty laugh to close our evening on a high note. Parking lot may be full but they also have parking at the Hartland and Lee building which is a quick easy walk that helps you work off the delectible dinner 😊More
Overall, it was a positive first time experience. Fairly easy to get a reservation, the wait staff was friendly and the food was good. We ordered the steak filet and seafood ciopinno. However, in comparison to similar restaurants in the area, it’s a bit overpriced.
This is my first time at this discriminated restaurant and will be the last. Today is Mother’s Day 2021 and I took my family in for dinner. We have been sitting at the table for more than 45 minutes. No one ever come ask us...for order food. All the food servants walked by us and only serve everyone next to us. It seemed like they just ignore us. We dress causal but it doesn’t mean they could ignore customers. They only serve those dressed up nice and classy in the restaurant. This is just plain discrimination against ordinary people like us. This restaurant just ruined my family Mother’s Day celebration. After more than 45 minutes being ignored, we left the restaurant empty stomach. To no surprise, No one even came apologize for bad service or even notice we walked out. If I could give it a ZERO, I would. We ended up at the Urbano restaurant to celebrate Mother’s Day where the service treated us with respect.More
Food was good not great. Staff was good. I wouldn’t go back as it was over priced. Parc du ville in mosaic has much better food
Thank you for joining us. We are so glad you enjoyed the food. We appreciate your feedback and we will share it with our team. We do hope to host you again soon.
This is not a good option for vegetarians. The risotto is covered in a clear clarified butter that hardens to yellow opaque substance on leftovers. We have had it twice since it is the only vegetarian option right now. The vegetarian gnocchi were not great...either. We would be there so much more with more options for non meat eaters.More

I enjoyed this restaurant very much and will definitely return. The atmosphere is very enjoyable. There was a lively piano player at the front of the restaurant. Sitting next to my wife at dinner, I could easily hear her and didn't have to compete with...others around us. The service was great (water was always full which was great because "From Tequila with Love" is deliciously spicy!) We enjoyed and definitely recommend the Tuna Tartare Nachos. My steak was cooked perfectly! The only negative from our visit was when my wife's 2 appetizers were brought out as appetizers instead of with my dinner as we had ordered. The waiter did realize the mistake (as well as one of the water fillers) and along with the manager, and all offered to take back both dishes to have them remade for when my dinner came out. We politely declined and overall, I would say this was not a big deal. Everything was delicious and we will return.More

Usually Restaurant Week restaurants falls into two categories - those that just play along and serve nothing too special and then those that really embody the spirit of the week. This place is certainly the latter and we were so glad we tried somewhere new...and experienced TRIO. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Kelly the hostess who was helpful with our questions and set the tone for the entire evening. Samuel who is their eager and fun sommelier, and B our waiter who didn't rush us and took care we enoyed every course. Thank you for taking such good care of us and our celebration of life and love. The food was amazing and a good sampling of the menu. The pork belly was just delicious and my husband's short rib was also amazing. Great desserts provide an exclamation point to the end of a great meal. I looked over the regular menu as well and there are a lot of things I would like to try on another definite visit. Their wine selection is one of the biggest in the area. It's a warm atmosphere with both booths for groups and tables, ours for two. The decor has a fireplace, soft light, and just chic enough for a night out, but not stuffy. Yes, go, I know you have driven by it numerous times like us. It's a plesant surprise, the best kind....More

Love the food and bartenders! The cauliflower (yes cauliflower) is amazing - beet salads good a bit small though. My hubby ate the oysters said they were excellent- pot stickers too. I would give this restaurant 5 stars if they had better red wine by...the glass - meh 😑 How about some Italian reds? My hubby loves it here as they have great IPA on tap but wine choice makes me pick other places sometimes. Bartenders are wonderful!More

You won't find a more creative menu in NOVA, [Northern Virginia]. Everything on the menu is excellent. Their happy hour offerings are a great value! Service is excellent from their very attentive staff. It is truly 'Fine Dining'. Both their food and drink menus change...fairly often. For every favorite you miss, there are new adventures that are worth experiencing.More
