We ordered there last night for delivery. We had a lamb, kofta, chicken platter, a chicken platter, a fallafel platter and a dips platter. I know it was delivery but the presentation was not appetizing. The portions were smaller than expected. There was not enough...pita go go with the meals and the dips. The side salad was a few pieces of wilted lettuce with what tasted like plain olive oil. The food was tasty enough but not impressive.More

I would return again and again for the fava beans and the Egyptian rice! Both are so delicious with such wonderful spices. The Kofta is pretty good and the falafel is also good. I wasn't too impressed with the chicken. The platter sizes are decent...and the appetizer plate of fava beans could be a meal. The grape leaves are teeny-tiny, but delicious and the sauce is fabulous. The staff is really, really nice - even though it's not table service, they bring the food out to you after you order and they keep checking on you and bring you water, etc.More

I have passed by Fava Pot many times but never stopped in. I met the owner a couple of years ago when she was in the process of opening Fava Pot so I felt guilt not stopping by but when a friend told me she...had found this wonderful restaurant near me, it was the perfect place to meet up so I did. What a wonderful spot! It's informal with a rather large menu. I had planned to order the chicken kabobs but before we ordered we struck up a conversation with another patron and changed our minds - a platter for $10 and you put together three appetizer-sized items you want to try. I had hummus, wrapped grape leaves, and gollash. Of course I had had hummus from various places but this rates among the best. The grape leaves were served with Tzitzki (sp) sauce which was very delicate. I had no idea what to expect from the gollash and was pleasantly surprised. I have no doubt everything on the menu is well-prepared and delicious and I look forward to many more trips to Fava Pot in the future.More

We love the food here. It is similar in many ways to Greek or Turkic food, but with some unique dishes and ingredients like the namesake fava beans. Great pita fresh and puffed out from their own oven. Great hummus and platters. An unexpectedly cool...atmosphere for a strip mall in the suburbs. Outdooring dining, lots of thoughtful details and management that obviously cares about their business and their product and customers. We've been back a couple times and have to resist the easy temptation to just go again because it is so each and satisfying to us all.More

A little taste of Egypt is what you’ll find at the Fava Pot. Friendly service and tasty food. The hibiscus iced tea is awesome as are there appetizers.

Tried this gem for takeout the other night and it was amazing. We had the chicken kabob meal with roasted potatoes and the Chef’s appetizer dish. Everything was so flavorful- can’t wait to go again!

My group of retired men tries a different restaurant in the Falls Church/Annandale area every two weeks. There are so many choices that if we want we can choose a new place for each lunch and not go back to those that are only mediocre....We'll be back to Fava Pot. While I am not great fan of fava beans - maybe I had some bad experiences in the past - I was determined after reading other reviews to try Fava Pot. I was very pleasantly surprised with a very tasty dish featuring chicken served over a bowl of rice, vegetables and fave beans. Next week I'll be meeting friends at Fava Pot to try one of the breakfasts that look so good on the menu. Note that wheelchair access though the main entry, which seems to be the back door, is precluded by a row of planters. Ask and they will open the "front" door next to the parking spaces reserved for persons with disabilities.More

Read a lot of reviews and it is rated high. went with my wife on a lazy Saturday. You order at the counter and they bring your food. food is good and like homecooking. but they need to get more experience in bringing silverware before...you ask them to. and bringing out the food in the normal order. like tea comes out with food not 10 minutes later. etc. overall 3+ stars and hope they improve. nice wall and room decor. Good luck Fava Pot.More

Having returned from a trip to Egypt recently, we had been looking for a restaurant that serves squab and koshary. Our entire family was happy to find this spot; we have eaten at Fava Pot twice in two weeks. The koshary tastes just like it...did in Egypt, authentic and delicious. My son said the squab was also good. The watermelon, Egyptian feta and arugula salad really shows the restaurant's propensity for selecting fresh produce. Order at the counter but your food is served by the friendly staff. Terrific Egyptian bread, so good.More

We have been going to the Fava Pot for a few months and have tried a new dishwasher with each visit. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. We highly recommend the stuffed grape leaves, hummus, and the Fava beans. On cold days,...treat yourself to a pot of black tea with mint!More
