The mission of Fava Pot is to “Eat Healthy for a Good Cause.” Our pledge to you is to always choose the best ingredients for all the meals we serve. Our food will always be cooked fresh on the same day with bread coming out of the oven every morning. We will never use a microwave! This is real handmade food. Fava Pot sponsors the education of orphans in Egypt and supports them to return to serve in their communities. And we give back to our community in the D.C. metropolitan area. When Fava Pot caters for a school or church, we give 15% of the profits back to the organization.

We love the food here. It is similar in many ways to Greek or Turkic food, but with some unique dishes and ingredients like the namesake fava beans. Great pita fresh and puffed out from their own oven. Great hummus and platters. An unexpectedly cool...More

A little taste of Egypt is what you’ll find at the Fava Pot. Friendly service and tasty food. The hibiscus iced tea is awesome as are there appetizers.

Tried this gem for takeout the other night and it was amazing. We had the chicken kabob meal with roasted potatoes and the Chef’s appetizer dish. Everything was so flavorful- can’t wait to go again!

The northern Virginia area is replete with Middle Eastern restaurants, mostly in the Lebanese genre. Fava Pot stands pretty much alone in recreating the "feel" of Cairo, doing all the Egyptian specialities and doing them well. The menu is fairly limited, but what is done...More
