On our 3rd visit to this great Indian restaurant, we had another wonderful meal with our son and daughter. The staff was efficient. The decor was lovely. The starters and main meal were very tasty. We had masala tea and decaf coffee, all well prepared. For the first time we tried their two types of Indian ice cream, which were a great hit.

For the last 2 years, the restaurant has been serving buffet during the weekends off and on.So glad ,they are now opened for buffett again. However, they only serve Buffett on weekends(used to be Fridays). We were pleasantle surprized that now they have weekday lunch specials, called ( Thali). It's an assortment of different dishes. They cover both veg and nonveg dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed the food.Hoping, their business on weekdays will pick up.We surely, will go again.

Not crowded. Very attentive, courteous and helpful wait personel. It is one of the better Indian cuisine restaurants in which I have eaten. I tried the goat special, which was a mistake on several levels, but the remainder of the meal was excellent.

Often used to eat lunch in Ragga restaurant until 2020. I returned yesterday with family , hoping to enjoy their fresh, varied buffet and hot nan. It was a total disappointment! The parking and the restaurant were empty from customers, no buffet. The lunch they offered for $16.99 per person, was served in aluminum small containers, the food was not fresh and the bread from the day before.
The employee admitted that the ownership has changed.
I will never return to this place or recommend it to any one.

Even though we’ve been hunkered down for 310 days, we ordered for Uber eats delivery and were pleasantly surprised by the great quality of the food and we had enough leftovers for a second meal. We will be back, even if it’s virtual.

On our second visit, my wife, daughter, and I decided to try a diner after doing an excellent lunch buffet a few months ago. The result was the same, a 5 star experience, including food, service, and decor, at a location convenient to Arlington, Fairfax, and Alexandria, including Old Town and the Amtrak Station.

We had ala carte Dinner and Buffet Dinner.
This a mixed Veg and Non Veg place. Veg choices were adequate but veg choice without garlic was limited to Shahi Paneer.
Food quality was okay but nothing great. May be, non vegetarians may have a different take on the quality of food.
We found this joint quite popular as we found a lot of people coming and taking food home packed.
When we went for lunch, the a/c was not working.
We went there more because it was very close to the hotel we were staying in.

My wife and I have eaten at Indian restaurants around the states and Europe, and we both think Raaga is the best Indian food we've had anywhere! From the complimentary papadoms (with tamarind sauce) to the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Rogen Josh, to the naan - it's all fantastic.
The Masala, in particular, must be singled out. It truly ranks among the top 10 best things I've ever tasted, regardless of cuisine type. We have had this item at countless restaurants and there is not even a close second. It is very tomato-based, and ultra rich with flavor beyond belief (even though it is quite mild). I semi-jokingly said to my wife that I could drink the sauce from a glass it is so good, and now that I think more on it, I wasn't joking at all!
Add their great service and reasonable prices (for Northern Va.) and you cannot beat this place. Any time we are back in the area we make it a point to stop in at least once or twice. Great stuff!

My wife and I had come down from New Hampshire to see our daughter and help her move into her first condo on Fathers Day Weekend.
As we were all working very hard on painting and other projects, we wanted to take a brief break on this special day and try a new Indian Restaurant. We were delighted with our experience.
When we arrived at about 2:30 pm, most tables were still occupied. A high percentage of clients were Indian families, a very encouraging sign.
This buffet was laid out in one long line in attractive metal containers on legs. A reddish shirt draped the tables. "Happy Fathers Day" Balloons were visible. Customers had a diversity of both vegetable and meat dishes. Some of my favorite dishes were chicken, fish, lamb, lentils, potatoes, spinach, kheer, and mango lassi, which was included in the price of this special buffet price of $16 and which we considered quite reasonable for the quality and quantity.
Considering the proximity to our daughter's new condo, we will return on future visits.

Had dinner there this evening. The food quality is declining. The breads were excellent. And my wife's daal was very good. I ordered Rogan Josh.
There are two ways to make Rogan Josh. The traditional way for this Kashmiri dish is to make the sauce and simmer chunks of lamb in it. The lamb gains the sauce's flavor and becomes very tender, but it is a long and slow process. You can make "tourist" Rogan Josh by making the sauce and the heating cooked lamb chunks in it. There are two consequences. First, the lamb is not very tender. And more importantly, it does not gain the flavor. Raaga seems to have chosen the latter. Sad. The Northern Virginia area has a number of good to great Indian restaurants. We will go elsewhere.

We went here for Father's Day. It was busy! We started with vegetable pakore, chicken tandoori, shrimp biryani, and palak paneer off the buffet. Everything was tasty but the chicken was particularly moist and tender. We had mango lassi and water to drink.
They also had the rice pudding which I always look forward to. Yes, we liked this place. Now if we can just find how to get here on the bus...
