It was pretty empty when we arrived for dinner at about 7 pm on a Monday night , it was raining out so that may have had something to do with it . The service was fine through out the meal . We ordered the Kanom jeeb for an appetizer and it was excellent . We shared the pad num... More

Met friends there for a reasonably priced dinner. As we eat gluten free, the many options for us make this a favorite place to visit. Close to George Mason University so have often met friends there before or after a meeting or event on campus.

Good, fresh meals...I like the curry(all of them), at lunch they serve a free soup as appetizer which is a nice touch.

This is the new name for the Thong Thai restaurant. We ate here prior to seeing the Nutcracker at the George Mason University Center for the Arts. The restaurant is located down an alleyway in a strip mall. We chose this restaurant based on its rating as well as closeness to the Center for the Arts. The menu is quite... More

Excellent thai food. Very comparable to food you can get in the street side restaurants in Bangkok. Most of the time restaurants come and go since the quality of food degrades with time. This one has withstood the test of time.

We've been coming to this restaurant for ages, well before the updates. In the past 8+ years, there has never been a buffet, so the reviews stating buffet are writing about a different location. Also, this restaurant has been part of the Bangkok Golden group for that entire time period, though it used to have a different name (Tong Thai).... More

Their food is close to authentic Thai food and quite impressive for being out of the Kingdom. I gave them the "very good" rating for that. However, for a Thai, it's actually quite average.

I'm so happy the old place gave it up to the new owner. They completely changed the inside and made it easier to access the restaurant from the mall. It's still hidden from the parking so don't give up...it's worth finding now. All the typical Thai dishes are good, and requesting the spice tray can add heat to your liking.... More

Bangkok Golden (aka Tong Thai) is hidden away in an old strip mall. The mall is undoing serious renovation making it even harder to find the restaurant. We have been going to this restaurant for years and except at lunch time it is never really busy. The menu has the standard Thai dishes that we have always found to be... More

I first came here with a friend who was researching the food for a catered party. The owner brought us a number of samples of food and explained the food as we ate. The owners are Laotian. Lao food is similar to Thai food, with the addition of a couple of extra spices and even more heat. Any of the... More
