Due to Covid we could not have the huge 100th birthday party we had planned for my Mom, so last Friday night we celebrated her 102nd birthday at Coyote Grille. We had 18 people for dinner and the night could not have been any better....There are not enough words to describe how wonderful the staff were from the planning to the execution of the partly. I can never express how thankful and blown away my family and I are at the help, customer service, generosity, and sincerity, and kindness that they showed to my Mom, my Sister and I, and our guests. They helped with setup, were very flexible when we had to make some last minute changes, even helped clean-up and just all and all made the evening one to remember! All of our guest enjoyed the delicious meals and appetizers and kept commenting on how wonderful the restaurant and staff were. The staff and even the patrons made my Mom feel like a queen! I especially would like to give a shout out to Joe, Allison, Chris and Deb for helping me make this an evening one to remember! I can not say enough about this GEM OF A RESTURANT, the Staff, the food and on top of it the price did not beak the bank!. THANK YOU is not enough!More

This restaurant served the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten in my 57 years of life. It was very bland, any flavor it did have was either salty or just disgusting! I grew up in Southern California and this ‘food’ is an insult to...authentic Mexico food.More

We stopped here for lunch with friends on a very hot day and had cold beers out on the patio where there was a breeze. The inside was crowded and noisy. The food was fresh and great. We had fish tacos, a taco salad, a...santa fe salad and chicken enchiladas. Everything was cooked to order, fresh and delicious. Service was prompt and we got everything we asked for. Would definitely go back.More

A former Mayor of Fairfax City suggested meeting up at Coyote Grille & Cantina for food and drinks, and it was a good call. The food that we ordered was tasty and the Customer Service was very attentive and excellent. The Steak Quesadillas were Sooo...Good!!!! What a pleasant experience!More

First time visit. I would go again. They have seating in a heated tent and table heaters outside. The only negative was the chips were not homemade. The chorizo queso came in a mini cast iron pot. The tortillas were nice and thin. Nice fresh...quacamole. Staff was friendly.More

Really great southwest vittles. The menu is creative and the food delicious. Current seating (June 2020) is in the covered veranda or under tents in the parking lot. Great draft beer lots of margarita varieties. Do NOT sleep on happy hour, 3-6. Half priced starters...make a great meal.More

Ordered the Fajita Family Meal for 4 for home delivery. It arrived quickly via a general food delivery service and was very tasty. The only problem was the food arrived in poor condition. The restaurant packed it in aluminum pans with plastic lids that crimp...around the edges. In some cases ingredients were all mixed together making it difficult to build a fajita to your liking in the provided tortillas. The food also arrived with some of the containers jumbled up so the contents were all mushed together. I'm not sure of it was a case of mishandling by the driver or poor packing methods by the restaurant, probably a combination.More

We’ve been there many times, and this was the first time we left disappointed. The Margaritas were watery, and the food bland. Since there are other Mexican themed restaurants in the area, it will be a while before we return.

The food was just okay, nothing great. What was bothersome was the staff. From the very minute we came in the door, we encountered a young man who seated us. Not one time did he smile or give us the impression he cared we were...there. Then out waitress took it from there, unfortunately with the exact same attitude, The restaurant was about half full and there appeared to be plenty of help, so I'm not sure why it took so long for our food to arrive, and to make matters worse, the waitress never really checked on us for chip and drink refills. As a matter of fact, while eating the queso dip we ordered we ran out of chips....it took us forever to get her attention for more chips and again, she acted like we were an inconvenience. When our food was finally delivered, the Manager helped bring it, even he never smiled or appeared happy we were there. Very disappointing experience.More

Following some of the more positive results on TripAdvisor and noting that the negative reviews were quite a few years ago, we thought we’d give it a try. Excellent choice! The young waiter-relatively new to the store was a gem I hope they keep. Despite...the mix-up in ordering, he was prompt and polite about fixing the tacos as they were ordered. My choice-the Coyote Special was delightful. The chips and salsa started the whole event on the right note with the chips being a bit thicker than store bought and the salsa having just a subtle zing which my jalapeño averse palette could tolerate. The only caution, if it’s cool outside be careful sitting inside with the door to your back-the cool breeze served quite a chill over the duration of the mealMore
