I was expecting delicious hot mouthwatering biscuits instead I got 2 cold, dry biscuits for $8.00 . Couldn't finish the biscuits. I don't like giving a new place a bad review but I was very dissatisfied.
still ordering take out due to Covid. Ordered take out for 4 people. Very organized. Had people in the parking lot directing traffic. Great food. Looking forward to eating there inside or outside soon.
The description of the mahi mahi on the online ordering has it listed as being over spinach, mushroom and peppers. When a family member ordered a choice of sides came up and they picked fries thinking you picked a side to go with it, when...the food was picked up it was just fish & sauce. The menu did not indicate that it was asking if you wanted to substitute - they need to make that clearer.
The crab fritters & Ozzie rolls were good as usual.More
Great Food, Service and ambience... even during this Covid time.
I had the filet and crab cakes, double winner. Cakes were outstanding. Filet could have been more tender, but is was tasty. Spilt the blue crab - shrimp ball appetizer; you get 3. Something different...and good. I like the wine selection. Dinner came fast.
This is to my go to place in Fairfax. I will be back next week.
During “normal” times, Arties is one of our favorite restaurants. Their attention to detail always has been one of their most outstanding attributes. However, since the pandemic when we are doing takeout exclusively, this is the first thing to take a hit. If you ever...have a modification to a menu item, you can be reasonably sure that this instruction will be ignored.
Arties always was our go-to for burgers. Anyone who’s ever made one can tell you burgers are very difficult to cook correctly. Even now, Arties almost never misses, but only on degree of doneness. Unfortunately, this evening’s order was all kinds of wrong. Again. Every time we order burgers with modifications, they are ignored. [To add insult to injury, we’ve been tipping very generously to express our appreciation for their efforts during the pandemic.] Arties’ management likes to reward bad experiences with gift cards. But a gift card without meaningful change is like an insincere apology: seems nice at the time, but ultimately useless.
It should be noted that Arties has done salmon and even steak very well, impressive in a takeout environment. But their persistent lack of interest in accuracy has finally caused us to search elsewhere for an acceptable burger.More
In these difficult times it can be challenging for restaurants to create a nice dining experience but Artie's doesn't disappoint. Joe ( I think...) bartender Monday nights does an outstanding job of consistently providing comfortable service while maintaining proper CDC guidelines.
My boyfriend ordered the filet mignon and crab cake entree and I ordered the filet mignon entree. We also had the field greens salad with champagne vinaigrette dressing. The crab cake was delicious, the filet was cooked to perfection and cut with a butter knife...and the champagne vinaigrette is light and flavorful. Dining room is very classy and cozy and wait staff is excellent. We visit Fairfax every year and enjoy a nice dinner at Artie's at least once while we're here. Definitely recommend Arti's.
Thanks for the excellent dining experience.More
We got the curbside pick-up option to take home. You do have to pay for the Ozzie rolls now but they're still really tasty. We shared the crab & shrimp fritters and I had the crab cake. It was really tasty but with the couple...of rolls & appetizer the meal was plenty of food for two meals - I had one crabcake, half the coleslaw & french fries at dinner and the other half for lunch the next day.More
You can’t go wrong with any of the Great American Restaurants. The service is great and the food is terrific. If there is ever a glitch - which is very, very rare - the servers are on top of it and will over correct immediately!...Always a go-to for a wonderful meal!More
They are incredibly accommodating and helpful! I'm sure someone will get back to you ASAP during business hours. I would call when the restaurant is open just in case and I'm sure they will be happy to have you!
