This is my third time in this restaurant in less than two weeks. After hearing people rave about this place, I decided to check it out with my father and tow guests who used to live in Yemen during the 70's. Let me start with saying that the owner is such a sweetheart and very humble!! Our first visit we... More

A challenge to find, since the name has been changed to Saba. There was only a front entrance rug that bears the name Sheba. The cuisine has changed from Lebanese to Yemeni. Food was truly outstanding! The lamb was amazingly tender; it fell off the bone. The beef stew supremely flavorful, tender, and hot -- it was served in a... More

This restaurant now seems to serve only Yemeni food - or at least it did last night. The staff were very welcoming and the service was fine. The menu was quite limited - a roast lamb dish, rice and lamb, rice and chicken, a beef dish and a vegetarian dish comprised the main courses. There were about four appetizers and... More

This restaurant is a no frills kind of place. When we walked in, we noticed the dated shabby decor and it seemed unclean. The table cloth was soiled and there were crumbs and food on the floor. Service was painfully slow. But the food made up for everything. It was incredible. The flavors were intense, portions plentiful, and harmoniously presented.... More

Enjoyed a wonderful Ethiopian meal. Cozy, warm, inviting restaurant. Delicious food ( loved the lamb). Good price for ample portions.

Went to a Samantha Brown lecture over the weekend where she encouraged us to seek out ethnic restaurants in strip malls for an authentic glimpse into far off places. So the wife and I headed directly to Sheba, a place we'd heard about but had never tried before and it was terrific. We shared a tomato fit-fit for an entree... More

We were glad to finally have an Ethiopian place nearby. Having eaten at Sheba several times, a pattern emerged - slow service. It doesn't seem to matter whether or not there is a crowd, it took an inordinate amount of time to be served. On Valentine's Day, one poor woman even endured having a drink spilled on her lap. Another... More

Best ethiopian restaurant I've been to in the DMV area. I recommend you to try it. The entrées me and my had were the Derek Tibbs (beef) and the Beg Wot (lamb). It's a perfect combination of mild and spicy dishes respectively. I'll definitely be there again and try out the other entrées, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

I’d never tried Ethiopian food. My daughter, who loves the stuff, had never tried Sheba. So in we went on a recent Sunday afternoon. What a great lunch we had. My daughter says the food is as good as is at Dukem, her go-to place for Ethiopian in Washington D.C., though Sheba’s menu is more limited. We started with a... More
