Unique, beautifully decorated atmosphere! Servers were dressed in professional attire. Pablo made a perfect recommendation for the steak strip chimichanga. Food was as great as the environment! Nice stop on our way to the beach.

I would pass on the shrimp, every time I get it it's super fishy and looks like it's under cooked. If you want seafood go to El Vallarta because it's much cheaper and the quality is outstanding.
However, if you want a good drink for the price San Marcos is your place.

Kind of a large strip mall sort of place but don't let that scare you away the food is very good. The outdoor seating is nice but it as really just patio overlooking the parking lot.
I had the chorizio and steak tacos - excellent! I came back another day and ordered the same thing.
Moderately priced Mexican food and beer.
Try it you will like it!

The service is always great and the food is good as well. This is our go to place for Mexican food. Great menu for lunch and dinner and not expensive.

I was in town on business (not my first time in Danville). There are some pretty good Mexican restaurants in town, and I saw that this one had higher ratings...I decided to try it. It wasn't bad by any means, but my food surely wasn't worth the ratings that were being posted. On a positive note, the location/atmosphere and service were very good.

Was immediately greeted with a smile upon entry to the beautiful restaurant ... Lunch companion joined me shortly after that and we were seated at comfortable table in bar area which was quite suitable ... Waitress was in attendance with us in just a few minutes at which time to were given salsa and chips... our order was taken and food delivered in a very short time... Our waitress checked us often and the food was "great"!
Nothing to complain about ... Lovely experience ...

Visited on a recommendation of a co-worker and the service and food did not disappoint. Had Chori Pollo , which was simply wonderful !! I believe Carolina was my server and was attentive and friendly! Would definitely return on my next visit to Danville.

San Marcos is one of the big two Mexican Restaurants in Danville. It is home to the best mole sauce and the biggest Day of the Dead display. The food is good as is the service. The seating is a little limited so you may have to wait. While my wife and I really like San Marcos, the kiddos refuse to go once the Day of the Dead display goes up. They find it scary. If you are in Danville outside the Halloween period give this place a try. If you are here during the Halloween period you really need to like Day of the Dead decorations.

Best I have found in Danville. Service was very good. They got most of the correct plates in front of our crowd of 11 on the first try. Rita's were average to good made from a mix I'm sure. I had a chicken chorizo dish that was very nice. The sides were flavorful...that was surprising compared to everywhere else I have been. Everyone else that I checked with was happy with their entrees.
They did a nice quick job of celebrating a birthday in our group,...the reason we were there.
Looking forward to going back to confirm my conclusion so far that this the best around.

The food was good and the service an 'A+.' I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Mexican because they have a broad menu satisfying practically anyone. The helpings were enormous.

This is a great local spot with excellent mexican food. The interior is a little kitschy, but fun. Been here a few times now and the service is always good and our meals are always excellent. Love the salsa, love the guac, and love the tacos.
