Great, quiet place for business lunch or dinner. Excellent food.

Excellent service and delicious food. Salad bar is unusually fresh. Pasta dishes taste like a high-end fancy restaurant at a reasonable price. Not usually very busy, so no waiting. We have had several business lunches here and have been pleased to be able to talk easily. The side atrium makes a good place for a larger group as well.

Yummy Italian dinner!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal last evening! Staying at the Holiday Inn, we walked a brief distance to the restaurant. We enjoyed the shrimp pasta special and chicken Marsala. They were most eager to accommodate some special requests for sauce changes. Great service staff and reasonably priced!

Cheese Steak Heaven

We stopped for a quick lunch and we’re blown away by the cheese steak sub. One of the best ever. Great meat and fantastic bread. Wish it was closer to home.

First visit was a real pleasure

This restaurant is clean like it just opened today (it's two years old). There are 2- 4- and 6-top tables. There was a party of 8 while we were here. The server (Flo) brought us lunch menus; we asked about the wider dinner menu and she immediately brought us two, no problem there. Comparitively speaking, I found the dinner menu narrow but deep. For example there were only two Veal selections, but the richness of my selection was delightful. I chose Veal Scalapini and loved the plate full of tender, delectable cutlets that nestled in a wonderful light brown (thick) tasty gravy with perfect mushrooms. This was accompanied by a side of angel hair (my choice) pasta with a delicious meat/maranara sauce (once again, my choice of sauce). My wife enjoyed a seafood plate that included lump crab, bay scallops, and shrimp in a superb cheese sauce with standard size spaghetti. A treat to the eyes and the tongue. The bread side dish was oven-hot and delicious; a selection of corn bread and sizable rolls with seasoned oil and spices. There is a salad bar that can be added for $3.97 (modest price). The portion sizes for the dishes we chose would not have allowed room for us to test the salad bar this day. Flo brought us "go boxes" and offered to move our leftovers into them. We thanked her and did it ourselves. She prepared go cups of sweet tea for us so we could sip as we were driving home and reliving the delightful experience of this meal. Bravo, La Nostra Cucina! WE WILL RETURN.

Walnut ravioli omg! Great wait staff (we had knowledgeable Lacey). This is close to the hotels along the river. You will not leave here hungry.

Everything I’ve had so far has been very good. Highly recommend the salad bar and rosemary chicken entree. My daughter loves the spaghetti and she’s very picky about spaghetti sauce.

The best of Danville

I am a discriminating customer of Italian restaurants. This eatery very quickly became my favorite of all the Danville options upon opening. The baked ziti and lasagna are meals that I eat on a weekly basis, and I have eaten the fettuccine and pizza frequently as well. The carbonara was an outstanding and exceptionally hearty meal I had once. I'll get it again when I feel like having a really heavy meal. It was delicious. It's all delicious. More than that, the staff is consistently professional and the owners make it a point to speak with everyone. The location is an old Rax roast beef joint, but it has been nicely renovated and features what I am told is an excellent salad bar. I can't say enough good things about the restaurant. It is my go to.

Great rehearsal dinner!

Tony catered our son's rehearsal dinner on Friday evening and everyone raved about the food. The lasagna, chicken alfredo, and stromboli were all delicious. He was extremely easy to work with, delivered the food and set it up. The lasagna was especially delicious, the bride ate it for breakfast the next day! He also brought two tray of rolls and foccacia that I didn't even ask for. We were very pleased with Tony and La Nostra Cucina.

A real find

Referred to this place by the Courtyard Marriott, where I was staying, and arrived with minimal expectations. Tried the seafood pasta special and the baked spaghetti with meatballs. Wow ! The salad bar was so fresh. Everything made from scratch and prepared to perfection. Will definitely be back to try everything else.

This is our first time at this restaurant. We wanted to go eat somewhere we haven't been before and we found this one and we are glad we did. The place was very clean the staff was very friendly and the food was great. They had a very nice and fresh salad bar. I had the baked spaghetti with meatballs and my wife had a pizza, both were hot, tasty and fresh. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the Danville Virginia area.

Great new addition to local choices

Fresh food cooked to order. The garlicky rolls are awesome that come with some of the meals. Restaurant owned by friendly family that are happy to answer questions etc. eggplant parmigiana was cooked fresh and was very good. One person had calamari and wasn’t her favorite. Wine and beer available. Restaurant has nice atmosphere and room for groups. Reservations can be made. Enjoy!
