I have now been here five times. Each time the service is great and I enjoy the loft style relaxed atmosphere. They have a great burger, which we always enjoy with a draft cider or beer. In the summer, the outdoor seating by the river...is beautiful. We live in chicago but have cabin nearby Danville...this is one of our go-to spots!More

Very cool atmosphere in repurposed old mill. Food was very tasty and a good value. They had good live music on a Friday night Service was a little slow taking orders and serving the food.

While traveling back home, we searched for restaurants in the Danville, VA area. What a wonderful choice!!!! I had the Black and Blue burger and homemade chips. The burger was very good, and while I loved the blue cheese with tomato jam, I felt like...it would have been just a little better with the addition of lettuce and purple onion. The ranch for dipping the chips was outstanding and providing an excellent dip for the homemade chips. Other in our party had the carnivore pizza. The pizza won the best food vote at our table. The wait staff was extremely friendly and provided great guidance through the menu. Decor was perfect for the restaurant at the old mill.More

An excellent find! Wonderful food and a beautiful setting on the river! You could dartboard this menu and be guaranteed to love whatever you ended up with. Tina, our server, was very attentive and friendly. We husband and I had pimento cheese as an appetizer,...then split a salad and pizza. We left there knowing we will stop again. Oh, don’t skip dessert.More

we went to Cotton to celebrate our 25th anniversary and the food was very small quantity and very unappetizing. The restaurant did refund our money for a poor meal but we will not be returning

We were in Danville for a Porsche event at VIR and I found Cotton at Riverside Mill on Yelp and decided to try it. The menu was varied and we decided to go there on Halloween evening. As you can imagine it wasn't very busy...because of Halloween and the nasty storm that just blew through. Loved the atmosphere of the old mill. The food was good and we were able to talk to the waitress quite a lot. So the next evening I was again looking for somewhere for dinner after all day at the track and really couldn't find anything, so we went back to Cotton. Place was packed, but we had put our name on the waitlist through the app. There was still a 40 min wait, but we where lucky to find 2 seats at the bar. Anyway, the couple next to us was having what looked like a dip of some kind with bread. Found out it was the blackened shrimp and crab fondue, we ordered it and it was fabulous. I had a burger with a side salad with balsamic dressing which was house made and amazing. My husband had the brisket tacos and he loved them. The night before I had the skirt steak and my husband had pizza, both were good. Can’t wait to come back again next time we’re in town.More

My husband and I were going to Cotton 2-3 times a month. That changed last night ! We ordered the Herb crusted salmon. The first couple bites were great, then we bit into the sushi. My husband put his aside, I sent mine back for...more cooking. It came back warm but still uncooked. I'll just order something else...let's keep it simple.. I ordered the Classic burger, cut it in half, took two bites, then I found the red hair cooked in the burger, my hair is brunette. I told my husband enough is enough, don't bother saying anything, let's just GO ! He paid the 48.00 tab, they did knock off my Herb crusted Sushi. I expect more from upscale restaurants , but then I remember... this is Danville home of biscuits and gravy. The "new" menu is lacking. Why did they change a great one?More
