As many have done, we stopped here to pick up sandwiches to take in our backpacks while taking a bike ride along the VA Creeper trail. Thankfully, they were open early, and service was decently quick since we were running a bit late for our...shuttle appointment. Sandwiches were good as usual for Subway, and made a nice picnic along the trail as we rode down. Would stop here again on our next visit.More

Just like any other Subway and that is good because it is a standard I can count on for a good sub. This subway is at the north end of town just a tenth of a mile past Shuttle Shack.

Some businesses in Damascus welcome hikers. The Subway staff seemed to just tolerate hikers. Wished I had gone next door to Mojo's instead.

Every time I log onto Trip Adviser it begs begs me to finish my review of the Subway in Damascus, VA. I was there a year ago. How did I get stuck on this loop? Let's see if we can fix this. It's a Subway...for Pete's sake. Ok, It's a subway and the lady running it was very nice. Damascus is the friendliest town on the Appalachian Trail. The trail literally goes down the main street of this little town and if you have a hankering for a sandwich, this is the place to go. Then you can take the second half of your sandwich and drop it in your backpack, because they put it in a plastic for me, with a napkin! Tastie on the trail when you've eaten nothing but camping food. And I didn't see any where else to quick eat in this town.More

Stopped in here to get a footlong to take on the Creeper Trail with me. After doing the Whitetop-side thinking, because of the TripAdvisor reviews, that there was food along the way. I decided to take some food with me while doing the Abdington-side of...the trail. Food was good, the service was good, the lady was friendly. I've eaten Subway for about 33 yrs now, so it was definitely as good or better than expected from Subway.More

Subway is a pretty simple menu structure and I have not eaten a bad sub from Damascus Subway ever! The service is excellent, even if they happen to be short handed because I have been in there when the place was swamped and only one...on duty, or so it seemed. That lady did a superb job of handling everyone.......More

We had a half hour before we picked up our bikes for the Virginia Creeper Trail. Subway filled the time with toasted sandwiches made to order. Great place.

Subway is a place where you can create a sandwich to your liking. I personally like the Meatball and the Philly Cheesesteak. But whatever is your choice it is made your way.

After a long bike trail, a couple of friends and I stopped to refresh, rest, and reconnect with others. This Subway was really nice, clean, quiet, and convenient. The one employee there was really polite to everyone, understanding of the weather, and informative. The food...was good and we were able to get free wifi connection. I would definitely recommend others to stop by.More
