I could have stayed here all day. Incredible selection of treats from rare beers to wine, to tasty looking sandwiches to polyface meats in the refrigerator. Great little spot.

Best food around! Great sandwiches, always fresh, bread is fantastic and they have a lots of options. Tables outside to eat at, or pick up lunch to take with you to a local winery. One of the best local haunts.

Good spot for picnic supplies on the way to visit local vineyards or the Parkway, the Gourmet Grocery is evidently a favorite of both locals and tourists. It offers a good selection of meats, cheeses, bread, etc. along with an interesting menu of sandwiches. A bit slow in service when it is crowded, the deli line requires patience.

We read & heard about this place while staying at the Iris Inn for our anniversary & couldn't wait to check it out. So many interesting & delicious local items! Unfortunately, the young lady behind the counter was NOT friendly or helpful AT ALL! It was almost like we were an annoyance rather than a customer. We bought their spiced... More

We love getting the delicious sandwiches here and other sundries for our days on the road touring the wineries--helped with tailgating too! I love this place but if you are obviously a non local, they tend to subliminally let you know that....

Stopped here to pick up sandwiches for a day of driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. They had an amazing selection of delicious sandwiches; I had Virginia Ham with brie and apple chutney on ciabatta bread. They also had all kinds of local wines, ciders, chips, nuts, olives, cheeses, etc. Everything you would need for a special picnic :)

Sandwiches are fresh, on the expensive side. Long line with wait for your order during popular times.

We stayed close by at Misty Mountain campground and stopped in the Greenwood Gourmet Grocery. I was quite pleased with the great beer/wine selection as well as fresh, local meat. They also have some prepared foods and had pumpkins for sale out front.

Wonderful sandwiches to go for our winery tours. And of course Route 11 chips. Outstanding! They also had a great selection of VA wines and craft beers.

Thank Paul M
