We have been regulars at Rosemary's Thyme for over fifteen years. The menu is extensive, and you can find so many great choices depending on your appetite, mood and tastes. Salads are excellent and creative; the pides are wonderful, as are the stuffed mushroom appetizers...and borek. The quality of food is very consistent.More

At 5:30 pm we were first patrons to sit inside for dinner. After many others gave their orders, our order was taken. We watched several receive their food before us, so my husband asked about our order. Our server said the blackened shrimp pizza took...longer. Almost an hour later, another server brought our food. Both pizzas were half burned, the top was rubbery like it had been waiting under a heat light too long. I pointed to the perfect pizza at a nearby table, and asked why both ours were burnt. Was it the server's incompetence or the cook, or both?More

My husband and I love to try lots of different restaurants and sample just about any kind of food. Rosemary's Thyme is our neighborhood go-to place. We enjoy everything about it. The atmosphere (most times choose to sit at the bar enjoying convo with our...favorite bar tender) My favorite dish is the pasta bolognese; my husband can't resist the crawfish saffron. However, there are many other delicious entrees - love the quattro formaggio pizza, the mussels chardonnay and the ribs. Don't miss the berry basket for dessert. All of this in such a relaxed setting sometimes I to open the menu. Just order a wine and chill with my favorite standby pasta.More

This has been a favorite restaurant of mine for many, many years. I think and my friends agree that they have the best pizza in NOVA. Their menu is varied with many Mediterranean choices. Prices are reasonable. You can also have a conversation without your...words being drowned out by noise. I just wish they would clean up their presence on the web. Their old website is gone and the new one with the correct phone number is hard to find.More

It had been long time since I went to this place, they are still great. I love their pides - they were really fresh and delicious. Lemonade was delicious also. They were reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

It had been years since I’d been here and I could not remember why I didn’t go anymore. I was quickly reminded by the dirty table we were seated at and the lackluster service. The food was ok, but not great. It’s Italian and it’s...Mediterranean and neither is great. The service was the thing that really got us. No refills on drinks, no checking in and even as I waved the receipt billfold for the waitress, she looked at me and moved on. None of the other staff were willing to help with us getting our billed paid so we left the minimal tip and left. Probably won’t be back.More

We have been going to Rosemary's Thyme since it opened years ago but three years ago we moved and had not been back for three years. Today we were not far away and, as it was lunchtime, decided to go back. We were happy to...discover that the food was still good, the service was great and the neighborhood feel was still there. However, one item needs to be addresses quickly. The weather was wonderful, so we sat outside, as did most of the customers. The manager needs to do something immediately about the condition of the outside tables. Our table had some kind of black, sticky goop on the wooden surface and the one beside us was literally falling apart. We asked the server about the black glob and she assured us she washed all the tables this morning. I have no doubt that she did but soap and water wasn't going to touch this stuff. I finally scraped it off with my penknife and had trouble getting it off the blade afterwards. My suggestion is either scrape the tables with a putty knife and scrub them with a wire brush and a disinfectant or get new ones. Until then, give the patrons placemats.More

Surprised and delighted to find such good food at a franchise restaurant. Our only regret is that it was not close to home where we could frequent it more often.

Our family has come to Rosemary's Thyme Bistro several times. Excellent menu, generous portions, tasty food. And wonderful service. One swears by the brick oven pizzas. Another says the soups are tops. Some order only appetizers, others just the salad. We all leave happy and...satisfied. And we usually share tastes all around.More

My family loves this place. Its one of those places that you LOVE, then eventually forget about and comeback to and rediscover it. The food is excellent. The DC metro area is a hard place to live when it comes to friendliness, and is hard...to find a place that you feel truely welcome to come to, and come back to. The food is great, and service has always been consistent, and atmosphere is great here. I'd recommend to any local to come here to get away from the norm of the area.More

My Ladies and I were visiting the D.C. area when we stopped in here for Brunch (10-20-18). I LOVE Eggs Benedict but I did not want as much salt that morning so I had the Florentine instead. It was just as good! The tomato has...tons of flavor! There was plenty of Hollandaise sauce; and I love Hollandaise sauce so there is rarely enough! The potatoes were flavorful without being greasy! I dipped them in my sauce to make them even better! Oh, and I get my eggs hard so the yolk does not run all over everything! MOST SINCERELY!More

We have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. On average we likely dine here 12 times a year. Although it's a Mediterranean restaurant, I feel even the pickiest eaters could find something they'd enjoy on the menu as they offer burgers, ribs,...pizza, pasta etc. The food is always flavorful and seems freshly made. Unlike a lot of area restaurants, there is never a wait to be seated. They offer take out as well and after sitting near the pick up area for this last night, this seems to be getting to be a bigger portion of their business. We have enjoyed both dine in and take out from Rosemary's for 20 years. Where the restaurant falls short over the last two-3 years is on service. You can walk in one evening and have one of the best dining experiences. You can come in the following week, be seated and wait 5 minutes before anyone even comes by to say hello and that they will be with you. This is especially frustrating when the restaurant is only a quarter full and there is multiple wait staff behind the bar area and lingering around the kitchen food pick up area like last night. Consistently requests for changes on a food order are not remembered from the time the waiter take the order at the table to the time they get to the kitchen to enter the order. A simple requests of removing olives from a salad is 85% of the time never remembered. We actually take bets at the table now if the salad will be delivered correctly. Given we were near the open kitchen area last night I saw my pasta sit for 5 minutes under the warming lights. Next came the pizza we ordered which then also sat with my pasta. At that point I could hear our waitress ask where the ribs were. Kitchen staff seemed stumped by this and shook their heads no. Our waitress dropped off my mildly warm pasta and the pizza to the table and said the ribs were coming. hmmm? And the salad without the olives? Never delivered. I would have taken it with the olives rather and picked them out myself than never get it at all. The ribs were delivered within 3 minutes to the table….warmed in a microwave I'm guessing as my son found them to be pipping hot, but freezing cold on the inside. No dishes were delivered to eat the pizza on so we just ate it off the tray it was cooked on. Not a huge deal. But hey...plates are always nice at a restaurant. So are extra napkins with pizza and ribs. Not just the flimsy one my silverware was rolled up in when I got to the table. This is just simple common sense - and good wait service training. I've loved this restaurant for a long time. But their wait staff needs a refresher course and/or management to take a look at how the front of the house is being run. Again, food is typically amazing at this restaurant. I've NEVER had an issue with the food. But the service is almost always lacking now. This would be understandable at an extremely busy establishment. Not Ok. But understandable. And it's not at the 6PM hour on Fridays and Saturdays when we most often frequent it. It's a shame to walk out this last time thinking we'd unlikely return again anytime soon. There are just too many options these days for a good dinner. Food is only one aspect of the dining experience. Sadly Rosemary's is falling short on the others.More
