We are visiting from Buffalo, NY and lucky for us The Village Restaurant was open this week. It was recommended to us by the Ladies at the local Chocolate shop and we enjoyed every bit of our meal. The Crabmeat dip appetizer, cream of crab soup, stuffed flounder, fried scallops, shrimp and clams casino are ALL excellent. So happy to... More

Had dinner at the Village Restaurant last week with a couple of old friends. We all agreed that the food was excellent, the service above-par and the prices fair. If you do dine at the Village prepare to bring home a doggie bag. The portions are generous! I would recommend the Seafood Platter which would serve two people easily.

Not many restaurants open off season, staff very friendly, let me take my bottle of champagne because I didn't drink the entire bottle, the crab Tostitos were very good.

We ate at Village Restaurant in October. Being off season the restaurant was relatively quiet. Waitress was friendly and the service was prompt but not rushed. The food was good quality, properly cooked and very edible. Very generous portions, which was good after a day spent walking and hiking on Assateague. We definitely didn't go away hungry. Overall no hesitation... More

In the past two months, I have tried visiting here a number of times only to find it closed. Once was on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm and another was a Monday night. When are they ever open? Hours on Google were incorrect and website was inaccurate.

Great view with panorama of marsh and sunset enhanced by ducks and geese landing on the creek outside our window. Manager and server very friendly and pleasant. Coconut shrimp huge, butterflied, and moist. But crab soup consisted of canned mixed vegetables dumped into far too many beef beef bullion cubes with a little crab meat added so customer would have... More

I got an assortment of seafood. Some of it was very good, some was just ok. The scallops and oysters were very good, the fish was bland and some of the clams smelled a little funky so I skipped them. Service was good, prices were good, and there was plenty of food. It was very good, just not the best... More

Luckily for us, Village Restaurant was open later one night (8 pm) when everything else was closed. Even at that hour, we were encouraged to dine at our leisure. The local oysters were fabulous, and we got 15 in our "dozen." The steamed prawns were well-received. The vegetable sides were overcooked, however, and the prices were a little higher than... More

The food is great! The views while dining are also wonderful. It is very busy and I recommend having a reservation. We didn't have a reservation but we ate an early dinner. There were a lot of tables that had been reserved.
