I love the food here. Black eyed peas and stewed tomatoes are my favorite veggie. Fried chicken and fried fish are great. I can't leave without a homemade dessert. Yum

Mac and Cheese is trash, noodles over cooked mushy with hardly any cheese.. They can find a better recipe! Yams were good, some bites a little tough but over all it was good! Now honey that tilapia had seasoning and fried to perfection, Id definitely...go back for that! Clean atmosphere not long of a to go wait but the staff is dry for an afternoon visit, they seemed irritated honestly.. Over all Mr B’s is okay, decent amount of food for less than $10 just need a better mac recipe seriously.More
We did takeout because of the COVID19 restrictions. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We had meatloaf, fried chicken and baked chicken—all wonderful and generously proportioned servings, along with sweet potato, mashed potatoes, fried okra, carrot soufflés, green beans., and dinner rolls. And to...finish off the meal, we each either had a slice if German chocolate cake or yellow cake with chocolate icing. The GCC was absolutely decadent! The meals are very reasonably priced and an excellent buy!More
While spending a few days in the area, we were looking for a place where everyone in the family could get something they wanted and it had to be good food (no chain restuarant off I-95). Mr. B's hit the spot! Perfectly! We had shrimp,...oysters, scallops, fish, crab cakes, chicken, cornbread, various sides, and many desserts. Every single item was flavorful and servings were large. The dessert selection is expansive! We chose lemon cake, sweet potatoe pie, German chocolate cake, coconut pineapple cake and lemon bars. Every item was so moist, simply yummy! The staff are friendly. Without a doubt will go again, and so will the family that lives in the area, and never knew about Mr. B's. Highly recommend! Take out or eat in.More
Down home, comfort foods such as liver & onions, meatloaf, fried chicken, burgers, and more. Everything seems fresh - especially their delicious desserts. Their takeout business is flourishing and getting a table for eating in can be somewhat challenging during the dinner hours.
This place is awesome. Great food at a reasonable price. Best stewed tomatoes I've ever had. The dining room is a little small, should think about expanding.
A friend told me about this restaurant and I am so glad. This small restaurant has good southern comfort food. Prices are about right. Service is excellent. I highly recommend Mr. B’s.
Dropped in for lunch and am very happy we did! We ordered the fried chicken wing special and were very pleased with our order. They were fast and the fried chicken reminded me of my grandmothers fried chicken. The wings were huge and the sides...are excellent. Our waitress was very polite, attentive, and quick. We will definitely be back!More
My first visit, my husband has been several time. Wonderful, home cooking food. Large selection of southern sides, delightful! Husband says best fried catfish he’s had. I had fried shrimp. Oh my they were large shrimp and got 12 on the plate. Some of the...best yams I have ever eaten. Very small inside so get there early if you plan to eat in! Service great, prices in line.More
This is somewhere you'll come back to for sure I've tried almost everything on the menu and its been amazing. Best friend chicken in the area and the best pies and cakes you'll find.
Food was great as always! And service was also great! A must try...Good job Mr B's! Glad to see everything back on track!
First and foremost I almost never submit a rating unless it is positive. I always support small businesses first BUT, Mr B's is a big disappointment! Yesterday was my third attempt at dining with them and for the third time I was disappointed. I called...in an order 1. 3 sides for $5 cabbage and double carrot souffle, 2. Club with mac and cheese. I ran an errand and then went to pick up my order (30 mins so they had plenty of time to fix more if when I called in the order they were running low). They ran out of carrot souffle. So I drove all the way from one side of town for nothing, a waist of time. The last two times I came there they had multiple items listed on the menu that were not available. Why, if you are running low on items not start cooking more ahead of time? This establishment is not well run. I asked the lady that took my order if they had carrot souffle before I placed my order, she checked and came back and told me "yes"! I guess it's my fault for giving them another chance. If you decide to give it a try be sure to ask them either "what they are you willing to give you today? or for there new "few select items available" menu." I bet you there will be items on their menu that are not available. They need to get it together, they've gotten comfortable - TYPICAL!More
Wow. Very impressed with food quality, service by Shantel, and prices. Liver and onions was terrific. Choice of soulful sides equally great. $9 price was well worth the great meal. Will be there again soon.
Loved the Pineapple Lemon Coconut cake, wow! However, I went for lunch, and it's a good thing that I had an hour for lunch, and my instructors allowed us to eat in classroom, because the service was very slow--and I ordered the special. It took...45 minutes to get my food, so dine at Mr. B's when time is not a factor. Their collard greens are well-seasoned, and the fried chicken has a light, tasty coating that's crisp, with juicy meat. It's worth the wait, but you will have to wait.More
I like their take out more than eating in. Food is good but service is slow & iffy. Fried catfish is to die for. Get there early for coconut cake.
