La Tolteca is right outside our neighborhood and we've been going there since they opened. They provide good Mexican food that is consistent each time that you go, nothing fancy but tasty and served hot with a smile. Prices are reasonable, portions are relatively large and usually you'll get good service from the waitstaff. Free fresh chips, salsa and white... More

I've lived in San Diego so it's hard to compare. My husband and I will go again because it is very close to our house. Service was really good. Not impressed by the chile relleno. Tostada was very tasty and the enchilada average. I really loved the mango margarita. Tasted very fresh with real mango. My husband loves the shrimp... More

Really tart margarita, burrito tasted more italian than mexican as it had alot of tomato sauce. Waiter was real nice. Nice atmosphere. Will go again and order something else.

I took my daughter for a late lunch/early dinner one fri afternoon. My husband and I had been there several times before. There weren't many there - the one waiter had one large party of 6 and two other parties of 2 (we made the third). Chips and salsa were delivered by another server, we made our order. but once... I thought this was just going to be another same ol mexican food restaurant and wasn't expecting much. We were hungry and it was in front of us so why not stop in for lunch. Now I know everyone has their own tastes so what is good for one person is terrible for the next so this is just my... More

After visiting Mexico, we were looking for a Mexican restaurant that had authentic tasting cuisine. This place met all of our expectations. Service was very pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious and authentic tasting. Nice atmosphere for couples or families. We love white sauce and they had some of the best we have had. Each of us had a... More

The food here is trash, plain and simple. Since this area has 0 culture, people flock to this place like it's the holy grail of Mexican. If you're used to Mexican in Texas, Cali, or even better, Mexico, you just might vomit after eating here. Everything is bad, with the exception of chips. If you want dirty, pseudo Mexican, save... This is a great place with fast, friendly service & yummy food at a good price. If you're in the area & in the mood for Mexican food stop by here. You won't be disappointed.

Went on a Sunday afternoon after Xmas shopping, saw good ratings and decided to give it a try. Ordered apps and were very impressed with food. Steak and cheese quesadillas very good. Chipotle wings didn't look like anything special when they came out but were great. We would come back just for them. Can't wait to come for dinner. Staff... More
