I have been going to Court House for years and never reviewed it. I love this restaurant! The staff is always wonderful. We have been going here through two owners and the "new" owners kept what was good with the restaurant and made it even...better. Their prime rib and fried shrimp entrees are great and my current favorite is their pork ribeye! Every meal is made better with their great she crab soup. OK after writing this review , there is only one thing I need to do! Go to Court House for dinner tonight. Writing this review has made me hungry!! :)More

As great as I had remembered. Left Chesapeake 22 years ago and hadn’t eaten here since then. It did not disappoint. Bailey was our server and did an excellent job. The food was great.

Prime Rib and Fried fish platter are our favorites. Busy, so go early and get a seat. We typically have a group of 8 our more. Another benefit, you can use the laundromat next door for those large blankets and comforters, while dining.

Four adults having a bite before attending a presentation. Never eaten here before. Saw the sign and stopped in. It’s tucked away in the side of a shopping center. No wait. Seated immediately. Julie, our server, stopped by the table to take our drink orders...then promptly returned to ask if we were ready to order. The menu is quite extensive with (what they say is) award winning Prime Rib, steaks, pork, chicken and several types of seafood including salmon, flounder, crab, shrimp and much more. The menu is cleverly presented like it was a legal writ or subpoena. I don’t usually order Prime Rib but I did this time and I was very pleased. I got a 16 oz end cut cooked medium well and that is exactly what I received. Prime Rim always has some fat but it was a minimal amount. A salad and baked potato completed my meal. Julie offered to bring a small side of horse radish for the Prime Rib which I appreciated. I tried, but could not finish as it was too much to eat. And it lived up to its award winning boast. My spouse ordered fried shrimp with a salad and applesauce. The shrimp were plentiful and cooked just right. They came with hush puppies and, at her request, extra cocktail sauce. Our salads were a mixture of field greens, a grape tomato neatly cut in half, strips of carrot and croutons and more. Very fresh and tasty. My daughter was the only one who didn’t care for her meal. But, that was because she didn’t know what she wanted and ordered something she would not usually order. The fourth member of our party had a French dip sandwich with steak fries. He said it was excellent and he took half home. It was too much to eat. For dessert, my spouse ordered her favorite - lemon pie. Everyone shared in a bite or two and it was some the best I have ever tasted. In summary, from hostess to server to our meals everything could not have been better. They even refilled our drinks without us asking. Prices were reasonable. Just under $100 including tax for four persons. We will definitely return. This could become a family favorite.More

I brought my husband in to try a great lunch special. The food reminds me of home cooking. Just like your family used to make. Our waitress Johnna, was excellent. She kept our drinks full and when we asked about the different items on the...menu, she was spot on. Can't wait to go back.More

Girls night out and we decided to go to a hometown favorite. I was a little leary since my last visit i wasnt too impressed. This time I thoroughly my dinner. I chose seafood combo. Fried shrimp and grilled tuna. Both were wonderful! Shrimp wer...lightly battered and cooked perfectly, crisp and delicious! No sauce needed. The tuna was moist and flakey seasoned just right. It was served with two sides and hush puppies. I chose green beans and baked potato. The potato was nice and fluffy on the inside. The green beans were too salty and no chives for baked potato. What was missing was good bread. They did have crackers, but for a restaurant like this, I feel they should have rolls or bread. Everyone in our group enjyed their meals..More

Went here tonight with my dad for dinner as it is his favorite. Every time I walk in it reminds me of a small town. Many of the patrons are regulars and know the staff by name. The food is great and the atmosphere is...very family friendly. Nice spot if you have family or friends from out of town!More
