This used to be my favorite restaurant but not now. I was told the old chef left and took his recipes☺. I spent 139.00 and the food was so bland. I had to use salt to help season.

In my opinion this is one of Chesapeake’s hidden gems. Each time I come is my experience is consistently 5star. The food is flavorful with eye catching presentation, service is prompt, attentive, and friendly in addition there’s onsite free parking and a full bar inside....This is the recipe for a memorable dining experience.More

Fairly small, non descript restaurant in a strip mall -- but the chef turns out great dishes. The calamari appetizer is a VERY large portion -- easily shareable by four. Service was friendly though not particularly efficient. Menu has a wide selection with lots of...tasty options.More

My wife and I were without kids for weekend and decided to have dinner at Passion for our first time having lived in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake for over the past 20 years! Billy, our waiter was completely on top of things attending to...our table. Great descriptions of both regular menu and the evening’s specials. Susan & I were starved so we started out with the hummus appetizer followed by salads and our entrees; steak poivre for me and crab cakes over beans & lentils for my wife. My 8oz steak was exquisitely served with grilled Brussels Sprouts and potatoes. Absolutely fantastic and the best steak I’ve had in Chesapeake by a wide margin. The crab cakes tasted as good as their presentation. Nicely done, Passion!!More

Hasn’t been too long ago that there came a new chef in town. The previous chef was excellent and a hard act to follow; however the meals continue to be top drawer.

We visited for a weekend romantic dinner as was greated nicely by the bartender and host upon arrival. The bartender was knowledgeable on his bourbons which I enjoyed a flight and my wife enjoyed a signature cocktail while we waited for our reservation time. Once...seated it took some time for a server to approach and was greeted with water and the specials. We ordered the pork belly and calamari. The pork belly was cooked great, however the topping for the greens on the plate was very overbearing with salt. The calamari could have used a bit more of the chili sauce drizzled over it. For entrees I had the crab cakes which were small, full of filling, salty and just ok, nothing to write home about. The asparagus and lentils were cooked perfect. There was a strange, almost florescent green sauce on my plate which clashed in color and tasted like "grass". We later found it was a pea puree. She had the Ribeye special, the steak was cooked perfect but the cut off meat wasn't a choice or prime cut by any means. The Truffle fries and sauce were very rich and very salty. For dessert we had the triple chocolate triple layer cake. It was ok but represented a cake bought form the store or food distributor and was still frozen at the bottom. Overall our service was great, the food was ok but didn't warrant the high prices paid. Better quality meat, dessert and less salt would have probably made this meal 4 or 5 stars.More

My family and I went here for our New Years Eve dinner and will never be back again. Where do I even begin? It took us 2hr+ for five people to eat dinner with appetizers and dessert. We ordered appetizers of she crab soup and...a shrimp cocktail that took 35mins+ to get. The soup was the best thing we had all night while the shrimp cocktail shrimp were so small and were served in a bowl instead of a cocktail glass. They used to serve bread but no longer do so I asked the waitress if they had something similar and she brought me a plate of saltine crackers. Then about another hour later we finally got our meals. My steak was supposed to be medium but was more like rare so I switched with someone at our table. All of our steaks were warm at best with asparagus that was soggy and had no crispness to it. We had some weird blue butter that was told to us was there to make the food pop but you shouldn't need that to enhance your food. One of the drinks made for someone in our party was sent back since it was a cocktail and half the glass was ice and half alcohol. The drink shouldn't have had any ice in at all, they had even made one for us previously in the night and it had no ice. We had the creme brûlée for dessert and half of my sugar was burnt black so I had to take half it off. Then the manager came by and asked how are meal was and listed everything here and apologized. Then when we got our check nothing was removed from it. The meal was clearly not what I would consider fine dining and should have been corrected on the tab. Our waitress was also having long conversations with the table next to us that could have also delayed our meal as well. We will not be back and would suggest if you want a decent and timely meal that you look elsewhere. The manager visited other tables while we were there so were not the only table with issues.More

All four in my party had a wonderful meal: salmon, 2 scallops and elk. Yes, elk that is sourced from a farm in Maryland or the Carolinas (can't remember which). It was delicious and cooked perfectly as were the scallops and salmon. Service was very...good. The chef came out periodically to greet diners and it gave us the opportunity to ask questions and give our praise in person. Also the best martinis around!More

Passions is a quaint small very intimate restaurant that serves superb food. The owner/chef’s lamb chops are the very best we have had ANYWHERE! Everything served is EXCELLENT, so you cannot go wrong with anything you order. The servers are great and very resourceful when...one needs assistance in deciding what to eat and the menu offers something for all appetites.More

Should check out there website. I’ve tried a lot of different things but can’t recall on vegetarian but I’m sure they have some food vs salad catered to that. It’s a very nice place
