Great location for lunch. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Go hungry as you will have plenty to eat.

Been wanting to go there for a year. Selection for a buffet is poor. Chicken or pulled pork. No many vegan selections. Desert not included. Nice old building. Friendly people. Better food elsewhere.

We had lunch here after our Monticello tour. It is set on an old log house and was buffet style. Wait staff was dressed in period style.

Nothing beats the history, the great buffet, and the friendly staff. Access to Charlottesville and the convenience to Monticello.

You are greeted by a very pleasant person outside of the establishment who guides you forward. All employees are dressed in garments similar to the period when the Tavern was first established. Every single employee was kind, attentive and responsive. The food is great too....More

I know they can handle tour buses. You might want to call to see if you can set up some arrangements for your group. We have always enjoyed having lunch & never much of a wait.
