Amazing experience. A small joint but the best place to eat in this part of the state. An unbeatable value for money with fresh, organic products and innovative recipes. If you are about to visit a winery or around, you have to grab your lunch there before wine tasting. Don't miss it.

Well worth the time to travel some of the back roads to get here. Very good sandwiches. Small place but with tables outside makes for a nice relaxing lunch spot.

This old service station building has been re-purposed as a sandwich shop. We enjoyed our lunch and sat outside, taking in the beautiful surroundings.

A tiny little converted gas station that you could easily dive straight past. Fantastic sandwiches and great to meet people with a real passion for the food they are serving. Perfect for a quick bite for lunch after visiting the winery or Monticello.

Don't waste your time ! The most awful experience in my entire sandwich life!!! unless you prefer to eat some grass out of your own backyard!! The person who took our order was so obnoxious yesterday my kids are still discussing it and putting into the video blog of our trip! We were told they can't tell you what is... More

Absolutely fantastic place to stop for lunch when visiting the area. The sandwiches were absolutely first class; fresh, flavoursome and filling. Skip the generic places and come here!!!

Gourmet dining in a very cool setting. This used to be an old garage, turned into a very chic restaurant.

Grab a bottle of wine from Jefferson Vineyards, use their restrooms first (Salt patrons use JV's facilities), head across the street to Salt, order a sandwich, a platter of cheese, and enjoy the views! Service was a tad slow but the great customer service and food made up for it.

Food was FAB and service was quick and counter help was happy. Sandwiches were under $10. Our group had: Ham, Grilled Cheese, Veggie Wrap. All were winners. Only drawback--no restrooms on the property. A trip up the road to the vineyard solved our problem, but be prepared should the need arise while you are lunching.

I came into Salt before heading to a wine tasting. The place was busy for 3 o'clock on a Saturday, but it didn't feel overly crowded. We placed our order, sat down, got our sandwich, all in a reasonable amount of time. The sandwich was delicious! I had the ham with brie and peach sauce--yum! This is the perfect place... More
