We were visiting the area and decided to try The Bluegrass Grill & Bakery. It was excellent. We did get the last available large table. There was a line forming, but no one left. It was a cold and damp day, but they waited outside! The food was terrific. They have the best home fries. I've never liked restaurant potatoes,... More

Fantastic breakfast! Funky chicken and salmon benedict were amazing. Large portions, very tasty and...good coffee. Service attentive and we didn't have to wait--an added bonus.

My wife and I frequent Bluegrass often for breakfast (and occasionally lunch). My breakfast staple is corned beef hash and it's the best I've ever had. All homemade, nothing out of a can or jar. The biscuits are homemade, hot and deliciously fluffy. Their pancakes are excellent, as are omelets. It's a small venue and very popular, particularly on weekends,... More

We found this place today because we are working in the area and it was so good! It's real small, only about 10 tables maybe but the service was fast so I'm sure they get through people quickly. Seat yourself, large variety of breakfast items and some stuff that is pretty unique. It was a fun atmosphere. We will define... More

Tons of selection, food was good, realizing its 2016 and the restaurant you're eating in only accepts cash...terrible. In their defense there was a tiny sign on the door but we didn't even notice it when we went in. As we were eating we kept seeing all the diners leave and then come back...they were making the block and a... More

I've been to the Bluegrass Grill several times, and have learned by now that you should arrive very early (like 30+ minutes before it opens) on weekends in order to ensure you will be seated with the first wave of people. Otherwise you add your name to the hand-written list and could wait awhile. The food is great, with lots... More

Visited the grill with a friend and had a good breakfast each. My friend had never been to the Bluegrass Grill before and really enjoyed it. On the weekends this place normally has a line and wait list. Weekend parking can also be tough, but there is a city parking garage just down the street. If you don't want to... More

We stayed near the Downtown Mall (easy walk from either the Marriott Residence or Omni), and were looking for the ultimate local breakfast haunt -- someplace that came highly recommended by pretty much everyone we queried. Unanimous: this is the place. It's a family establishment, and has a great vibe. It's also rather small, so plan on waiting if you're... More

We built our own omelets and they came back perfect. Creative twists with the home fries and biscuits. Attentive and friendly service. There was a wait. Based on the number of people listed the estimate was an hour. Lots of people decided to go elsewhere so our wait was less than 30 minutes. Worth the wait.

Bluegrass Grill is your typical American greasy breakfast joint and you can expect all of the usual breakfast menu items. If you're looking for a breakfast place downtown, this is your best bet.
