Breakfast decadence

The good: there is something terrifically tasty on the menu for every breakfast craving: sweet, salty, greasy, healthy, indulgent... It's such a quirky place, with toys for kids and mismatched coffee mugs. Yum. The bad: there's usually a wait, which can be long. The place is so popular they don't... read more

I am a local and whenever I go out to breakfast, I go to Bluegrass. WONDERFUL food, friendly service, and excellent value. They serve coffee in random coffee cups which makes me feel very at home. You have to get there early because it is a very small place so there can be a wait relatively quickly, particularly during spring... More

Ok, the long wait on a Saturday morning can be agonizing but worth the wait. Plan on egg and/or bacon involvement, but possibilities are endless. Order off the white sheet of specials unless u are a regular. The flavors are not co-mingled but roll of your tongue in rapid succession with each bite. Home fries are decadent but delicious. Bakery... More

Food is AUH-MAZING! I discovered my new love: bacon jelly!! Small place expect a little wait. But oh so worth it. FYI-cash and checks only.

Small cafe near the downtown mall serves tasty, homemade breakfasts and lunches. Lots of creative omelets and burritos, but not crazy-creative, just good. Some healthy stuff, too, such as good salads and a nice oatmeal with strawberries that I had for breakfast. Large portions, reasonable prices, though not dirt cheap. Very casual, kitschy atmosphere, good for families as well as... More

We had breakfast here on a Sunday morning and really enjoyed our meal, as well as the restaurant ambience. This is not a fancy place by any means, but the service was attentive, the coffee kept coming and the food was tasty (in that artery-clogging way diner-type breakfasts place can be!). I ordered the eggs, bacon, biscuit and home fries... More

The restaurant makes a point of telling you how long the wait for a table is and then makes sure you know the food week take just as long. Why? This makes no business sense. If you're consistently busy, hire more staff! The breakfast was good, but I've had excellent breakfast in other restaurants that cost the same, are made... More

Again hungry with zero desire to search more than two minutes from the car park, bluegrass cafe was seriously the first thing we saw that looked like breakfast. A quick review of the menu was enough to sign the wait list and to wait as long as it took for a table. In the end the wait was a mere... More

...and I rarely say "Wow" about any breakfast place! We got there early on a Sunday, thank goodness, because the line was long by 9:30. There are a TON of unique breakfast entrees to choose from. I had the Smokey Joe, and the bacon jam made it really interesting. My family enjoyed their pancakes and specialty omelets. Despite the place... More

This place has such a great and imaginative breakfast menu. Everything from your basic eggs and bacon, to some really fun breakfast sandwiches. I tried the Smokey Joe sandwich and was very happy with it. My husband had an eggs Benedict type dish with salmon which was also very good. I noticed several vegetarian dishes on the menu. The place... More
