I recently ate at The Nook with friends when we were visiting town, and I when I lived in CVille I often had breakfast there. The food is good, though generally pretty basic, and it is affordable. The setting is lovely though. When the weather is nice sit outdoors on the Downtown Mall under the mature trees, it is very... More

This little restaurant in the Charlottesville pedestrian mall serves delicious, generous sized sandwiches. We sat outside in the shade of big trees and had a very pleasant afternoon lunch. Service was attentive, and prices seemed reasonable to us!

Have eaten here many times. Great breakfast and pancakes. The service is great and it's a great locals place. Stop in the afternoon for a Pint and take in the sights.

So many people said to try this and our group went here for lunch. I really cant say it was much more than average. I had the shrimp quesadilla and honestly it was bland. Others in my group had a grilled cheese, special mac and cheese dish, and a club sandwich.. No one bragged and there was left overs. Not... More

Enjoyed our breakfast in this 1950's eatery. Good food and reasonable prices. Old fashion atmosphere added to the flavor of the place.

Have been to this place before. Great breakfast and pancakes. Skip having ham unless it's on a sandwich. Have the bacon or sausage. Great English muffins and fresh squeezed OJ. Fast service and fun dining inside or outside. Quaint location with a long history of great food.

Original 1950's dinner. Menu as you would expect. We had eggs Benedict and a 3 egg ommellet - wonderful. Eggs on the Benedick lovely and runny and the Ommellet was good but 2 eggs might be enough. We also sent back for a lunch snack chicken noodle soup and hot roast beef which was huge but great. Would recommend

Any restaurant that has a separate menu for their macaroni and cheese dishes is a hit for me! Had lunch and dinner here a few times, and have never been disappointed. Basic fare, and well prepared. We'll be back!

I had an omelet for dinner that was excellent. The bacon was crispy and my bisquit was great. Ordered a mixed drink that was well crafted and not skimpy. Excellent attentive service. Would definitely recommend. They have outside seating and inside was cool and comfortable.

The main attraction appears to be the outside dining but we were looking for respite from the sun and got a table inside- which is a throwback to a simpler era of dining where good food at very reasonable prices with excellent service are the main focus- and no attempt to try and be anything else- which was exactly what...
