My wife and I were visiting our college student granddaughter in Charlottesville and wanted a quiet place with intergenerational appeal. Fellini's fit the bill. The restaurant is small but attractive, easy to find and reasonably priced. We all had different pasta dishes and the portions...More

The atmosphere and comfort factor are excellent. There's usually jazz and how can that be bad? But if you're not on an expense account the food is only great if you're not hungry. Too little for too much. Had one salmon, one veggie salad and...More

Fellini's has a very quaint, romantic atmosphere - very comfortable look (although bar chairs are not at all comfy) and warm, unique décor. Drinks are expensive relative to their quality (e.g. mediocre). Has music which can be good but cover charge was high relative to...More

Loved this place. Friendly staff and great food. Loved the crostini entre. Pasta dish was excellent. Reasonably priced wines and food. We happened to catch a celtic jam band on a Sunday night. Priceless. Loved the place's vibe.

Italian cuisine in an often-cozy setting (brick walls, fireplace). Often with live music. Food is pretty good. My wife loves the calamari (not fried), and the chicken dishes are good too. Wines by the glass are not distinguished.

There is a convivial vibe that flows through this rustic, lively space, with a nice mix of students, faculty, professionals and tourists. We only had to wait an enjoyable 15 minutes one Friday night for a table for three. No hardship there as we sampled...More

For years Fellini's has been booking some great live music acts. The ambience is one of the best parts about this restaurant-- lots of dark wood, a big bar in the middle of the opening room, a piano in the corner, and a back dining...More

I found myself on business in Charlottesville this past Thursday night by myself and therefore I was looking for a comfortable place to go and have dinner. I was a little worried about traveling by myself but soon those worries were behind me. When asked...More

Recently took my wife to Fellini's #9 for our anniversary. The restaurant is small but full of atmosphere. Food was very good as were the wine and beer selections. Service was a bit slow, but wrote that off as midweek and less staff than on...More

Description
The restaurant is located in a building constructed in the mid-1800's. The building won the "Historic Preservation Award" in 2004. The windows contain glass from the original building. The floors are made of distressed pine recovered from Virginia barns and buildings. Also indoors you will find a delightful horseshoe shaped Copper Topped Bar, walls covered in brick and wormed-chestnut, stained glass partitions from the original building as well as a romantic fireplace, wooden tables and restored pine benches and chairs. We display art from local artisans for your enjoyment and our decor includes many original Fellini movie posters throughout the bar and restaurant. The atmosphere at Fellini's #9 is casual elegance - delicious meals, cozy atmosphere and romantic melodies from the piano in the bar. We have many Italian wines as well as a variety from Virginia and around the world. We have beers on tap and "Fellini's" cocktails.

Be sure to include Fellini's #9 in your plans - before or after an event at the Paramount, a relaxing dinner after a beautiful hike at Monticello or for a romantic interlude to your hectic schedule.
