We have been going to this restaurant since we moved here a year ago. The food is always wonderful and we love the atmosphere. They have a large outdoor seating area and the inside is large as well. The food is amazing and we have...tried many dishes and never been disappointed. This is one of our go-to spots whenever we have guests and everyone has enjoyed it immensely. Despite every table being full at lunchtime, we never felt crowded in the large, spacious dining room. Because of the extra-tall ceilings and beautiful rugs covering the floors, there was a nice buzz that never became uncomfortably loud. Service was efficient and casually professional (if...that's even a thing.) The food was excellent and portions were generous. My husband and I each ordered a platter. One would have been enough to share but we happily enjoyed leftovers for dinner that night. We're excited to return often despite the hour+ drive to Charlottesville.More
My wife and I have eaten here several times in the past few weeks. We have tried a wide range of things from the menu and everything has been fresh and delicious every time. We ordered several items from the lunch menu, Sigara Börek was good, so was the Mixed Greens & Beets Salad. The Döner Kebab Sandwich and Adana Kebab Sandwich were both dry and definitely needed seasoning, asked for additional sauce just to be able to eat...both. Delicious dinner with friendly, helpful service. Our first time having Turkish food, although it's similar to Greek. We shared lahmacun, which is a small pizza on a very thin crust. I had the lamb kebab platter and my husband had a lamb kebab sandwich. Of...course we needed to try the Turkish baklava for dessert. All had great flavor and were reasonably priced. Wine pours were generous. The food was definitely at hit for us and we'll return here on our next Charlottesville visit.More
This was the first time we went to a Turkish restaurant and it will not be our last time. Really loved the food. Service was good and prices were very fair. The vegetarian sandwich was excellent as was the salad with my iskender Kebab. I should have gone with a different meat choice as this one was a bit boring.
