Had not had Ethopian food before. Wanted to try, mainly due to the vegetarian offerings; I am, my husband is not. The person probiding service was wonderful, even though she was the only server. She provided excellent ideas for entrees and when the food came (which was outstanding) she instructed us on how to eat it. No silverware here, just... More

Looked on Yelp and found this charmer! It's a real hole in the wall in Centreville near the Lotte supermarket. It's in a row of restaurants. I felt like I was in someone's kitchen, not a restaurant. The setting is very basic, but the food was absolutely delish! Love to eat Ethiopian and I think this was about as authentic... More

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and it was absolutely amazing. The food is full of flavor and the staff is so warm and welcoming. I highly recommend. Great place for vegans :)

I noticed this place and almost stopped several times. It had an Ethiopian menu and a Latino menu on the door. I rarely saw people there, at the times I passed through. Finally I decided to give it a try, and I have to say it was really good. I had the combo, and really loved the doro wat. I... More

I LOVE Ethiopian food and most things Ethiopian - I have even visited Ethiopia with my teenage daughter to see their wonderful heritage first hand. Glad to find Ethiopian food close to home without having to go to DC or Annandale ! The owners are two well educated sisters ( one is an Urban planner who couldn't return to Ethiopia... More

I get the veggie platter every time. The flavors are great. The bread is moist and tasty. The quantity is more than enough. The presentation and decor are simple. The service is friendly, and engaging if you're so inclined. I take family and friends here.

While this is advertised as an Ethiopian fare, one entire section of the memo consists of Spanish dishes. I recommend the Combo or the Tibbs, and the French macaroons, and filo, and the cardamon tea. The shop is on the corner and easy to overlook, but the food is incredibly tasteful and the service is a friendly as it gets.... More

A bit on the plain side and a simple fair. Some typical Ethiopian baked stuff and coffee based drinks. I went for hot chocolate. It was perfectly made. The Ethiopian Samosa was a bit different than its Indian version. Did not impress me much. The Baklava fell short of target too. But the folks are nice there and if you... More

Not fancy just good food. Recommended to us and we recommend to anyone who likes, or is willing to try, Ethiopian food. Caveat to 1st timers: no silverware just injera (bread-like) to scoop up food. The waitress (owner?) was attentive and very concerned that we enjoyed our food selections and willing to assist and make modifications. Be certain to check... More

A true family run operation! A hidden gem inside both in terms of the ethiopian food and in the bakery items. This was our second visit there. Had the lamb tibs and the veggie sampler for one. First i love that the items come in separate bowls as opposed to just being on a injera lined platter. Like how a... More
