Our family had the fried chicken, meatloaf, collard greens, house cut fries (my favorite), green beans, and mashed potatoes. Everything was excellent! Our favorite part however was the service. The restaurant (particularly the restroom) was clean and inviting. We will definitely visit this family owned gem whenever we are in town.

As a local and having been told by many we really needed to go try this place out we finally did today. Needless to say it wasn't what I expected. I ordered the meat loaf platter (as we had been told the meat loaf was excellent) with mashed potatoes and mac n cheese as the sides. It came with cornbread... More

After many years and many southern eats I have finally come across food as good as my wonderful mother's. We enjoyed crispy, delicious yet light fried chicken with sides of collard greens, mac-n-cheese, barbeque beans and awesome cornbread. All served the way nature meant them to be...not overwhelmed with seasoning and fat. This is a place I could bring my... More

I had the veggie plate with soup beans, collard greens, coleslaw and cornbread. Each item was homemade and delicious! The sweet tea and coffee were excellent as well. Although I didn't get dessert this time, I look forward to visiting again and trying the Banana Pudding which I'm told is very good. My waiter was neat, clean, polite and adorable... More

Read some favorable reviews on trip advisor and thought I would judge for myself. I was not disappointed. Fried chicken was as good as any I ever had. Corn bread and green beans were also top notch. The mac and cheese was good but not great but that is a minor quibble in an otherwise heavenly meal.

THE best fried chicken ever, not pre made, definitely served to order ( couldn't hand touch the holy goodness that was the meat inside for some time, Bc it was so perfectly instantly fresh,). Friendly service, that's an under statement! Just over all goodness in every way

We used to live in Atlanta. Been above the Mason-Dixon Line for a long time. Found Eatz on a recent road trip and we were very excited for some authentic southern cooking. We couldn't have enjoyed our meal more. Very pleasant waitstaff - this is a family run establishment and a pleasure from start to finish. Great fried chicken, sweet... More

Delicious southern food. The restaurant is tucked away just steps from State Street. Do not miss a chance to eat here!

Writing my review at the table and the food was very good. Had the Jamaican jerk chicken with coleslaw and mashed potatoes the wife had meatloaf with macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. The food was quickly served and hot. The place reminds me of the old Mothers Restaurant but with upgraded food. This is defiantly on my return to... More
