A local heard my wife and I talking about grabbing a burger. The local told us Sharkey's had the best burger in town. We tried it and the advice was right. Nice outdoor seating. Wonderful waiter in Kevin. Great variety of beer.

We went here to watch the hockey game and have drinks. The bartenders were not only friendly and quick to serve, but they were excellent! Sharkey's is a great value for the money but they know how to make nearly every drink to perfection! Unbelievable that this is a college bar!

We love Sharkey's! Lunchtime offers a wonderful salad and baked potato bar for the business crowd, good dinner specials nightly (Tuesdays are great nights for the kids), and nightly around 9:00 Sharkey's turns into a rocking college handout. I highly recommend the burgers and wings. Great draft beer selection.

We dropped in one cold night right after New Year for a warm meal before going to The Lyric for a movie. Because it was between semesters, there were few students in town and Sharkey's was almost deserted. This was our first visit even though we've lived here 35 years. The inside is bare, more suitable for standing crowds of... More

Mahi Salad. Tried it twice. Only tried it the second time because I forgot what it was like the previous time. Overcooked, hard, dried out, and chewy like a cheap T-bone steak. OK, I know, it's a rib and wing joint, not a mahi joint. The Onion Rings were good, regardless of whether they cut and battered them there or... More

This place can get very crowded, but it's always a good time. The menu is bar food, and it's always good. Drinks are reasonable and they have good happy hour deals.

I took my veteran daughter there for dinner. She chose the place to eat. It is right on main street and there are a variety of stores to shop around if you get there early and there were some open after we ate. They had a lot of Virginia Tech stuff. Anyway back to the restaurant review. It was a... More

Sharkey's is right in the middle of down town on main St. It's got bar food: burgers, wings, etc. They also have a decent breakfast buffet on Saturday mornings. They play sports games on the many TVs they have so it's a good place to watch a game. Beware: if it's a weekend you won't be able to get a... More

I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had a restaurant. There was a discrepancy with our order, and we were not rude about it at all. The waitress was extremely rude and childish in return. It was simply not the way to treat paying customers. The food was only mediocre. We had the wings. If you want... More
