Looks like nothing from the front but soooo worth it! Friendly staff. Efficient. Quick. Can't really go wrong with anything on the menu although I will warn you, when they say spicy they mean SPICY!!! Once you decide on a spice level (according to the menu), choose one below that just to be on the safe side. I promise you!... More

Excellent Viet/Thai cuisine. Authentic and great food. Get it Thai hot if you really like hot! Great atmosphere but don't expect a quick lunch during a football weekend-it'll be crowded!

The food os very good. Comes in a good amount. I often come with my wife around lunch time. The fish cake is too good.We also like the fried rides with shrimp. The serve fresh, but sometimes the place is very crowdy.

We stopped in on a Sunday and it was totally packed. There were only two tables open. We had pho, eggplant and basal and a green curry. The eggplant was by far the best dish. The pho, which was the main reason for stopping in was just ok. I prefer my homemade pho. Either way, it was a good eat... More

The Pho was okay, the soup could be richer and only a few pieces of sliced beef, chopped meat balls and tripe. The pork rice was not the broken rice (com tam) but large piece of pork chop. The green tea was terrible. The Kalbi beef and rice was fine. Also foods came out slow. Servers were friendly.

There are really no *great* restaurants in Blacksburg. Having said that, Cafe Mekong is one of our favs; we eat here on a regular basis. My sons and I love the Fish Cakes, but my wife hates them. The satay is good, as are the spring rolls. I often get the Pork Rice; my sons (ages 10 & 12) get... More

Overall, this place is OK--not outstanding. I like the spring rolls, the Thai dishes are a little oily for me, but pretty good. The service is good, but the ambience is pretty basic.

During a recent visit a friend suggested Mekong for lunch and I was very impressed. I ordered curry which was delightfully spicy! I will visit again.

Located in a shopping center a little out of the way, but worth the drive. The dishes were tasty and enjoyable, and most are offered with beef, chicken, shrimp or tofu. Try the sweet potato noodles with Tofu. The staff is very friendly and will offer helpful suggestions.

I have to say that I'm not a fan of this restaurant. First of all, the atmosphere is not great. Also, I ordered garlic rice. At cafe de Bangkok, I order garlic lovers which comes with mushroom and veggies with the tofu and I get to choose how spicy I want the sauce. Today, at Cafe Mekong, I chose to... More
