Stayed three nights at This beautiful hotel had an Ok breakfast And due to the thunderstorms decided to eat in tonight. The scallops were perfectly cooked , the rib eye was fair with a fair amount of fat and gristle , French fries were greasy and over salted. The mistake and horror was ordering a banana split for desert. What... More

The breakfast buffet food quality was OK, but it was virtually empty for all three days I went there. Nobody was paying attention. When I showed it to the manager, she was visibly surprised each time...really?

A group of seven of us were there for dinner in a space that had no more than 6 other customers at any given moment when we were there. We asked for bread 2 times and it took 15 minutes to get any. Then our dinners took over 35 minutes followed by a 20 minute wait for desserts. There literally... More

Food is ok, but I was disappointed in service. At two different meals, I asked for refills, but didn't get them. Unacceptable. Service was lacking, no follow up, no refills. I was disappointed. Do they still offer cooked to order? No signage so not sure. Please clarify. Thank you.

I had the breakfast buffet here several times, and one night for dinner. The breakfast buffet was nice and the fruit selection was good. There are different hot items each day, and the option to make an omelet (although I gave up once since there wasn't anyone staffing the station when I wanted one). They also have high end, nice... We dined on Saturday at Preston's and I had a fabulous rib eye, great steak fries and a tasty garden salad. Our server was Hayley (Hailey?) who was personable and efficient. She brought our drinks and the salad quickly. She was attentive and incredibly friendly. I think that the food is delicious and well prepared. The next evening we dined... More

Good atmosphere. Good food: gumbo a pleasant surprise, salad fresh & crisp ... We do not usually enjoy the in-house restaurants, but this was forced on us by sudden change in weather: nevertheless it worked out quite well! Also wary of young servers, but the (presumably) student servers here were well trained & sincere.

We had a nice meal here a few days ago. We went for "Family Night," a $14.95 special meal, but never saw the menu. Our waitress was new, so that probably explains it. We were first brought their main, plastic-wrapped book menu, and then asked about the other meal menu and were brought a "Pre Theater" paper menu (I thought... More

We were able to get a "bed and breakfast" package as a part of a stay at the Inn at Virginia Tech. The breakfast offering is a buffet with the option of prepared to order omelets and eggs. This is the best choice. The other buffet choices are fairly standard. the fruit is usually better than most buffets.

Just some thoughts on Thanksgiving buffet. First of all: Food is very good. Our experience was compromised, however, by less than attentive service. Whatever staff on site seemed overwhelmed. Had to get up and get our own drinks, when going up to buffet tables, silverware would disappear but dirty plates remained, etc.while we were the last seating, half the buffet... More
