Great Greek Food!

The food was cooked to order on their grill; excellent! We ordered the souvlaki sandwiches and both were very good. Nice quaint place on campus.

After reading rave reviews on Trip Advisor and having a local tell me it's her favorite place to eat I was expecting good food. Sadly though, the Gyro meat had no flavor and the sauce was marginal. I also had an order of Spanakopita, which, if doubled, would have been fine for an entree, but did not come with the... More

We have always enjoyed gyro pita sandwiches at Souvlaki. But it is the US and SW Virginia, right? So how authentic can they be? When when we crossed the border into Greece we did 2 things- exchanged currency and found a little gyro restaurant. Seriously- Souvlaki was better! I had to ask for tzaziki sauce in Greece- they offered me... More

I always get the chicken kabob plate. You have to wait a 10-15 min for it bc it is grilled to order but it is worth it bc it is delicious. The tzatziki sauce is the best in town and with the plate you get some to dip chicken and pita in. The olives and feta with the little salad... More

The Falafel Pita Wrap, with (special request) added Greek Olives and Feta. It makes me feel special, and a little while later, sated. Take it outside and eat on a bench, or the lawn across the street.

I am addicted to the spanikopita, the cheese steak sub, the combo, and the cool peeps who work there. It's my comfort food! I ate there thrice in one day. Can't get enough~

Quick, interesting, delicious, genuine Greek food is what you'll find a Souvlaki. I like the gyros plate for lunch. Watch them prepare your food and enjoy the banter of the patrons and staff, or read the paper on the counter. If it's football season, check out the Hokies' progress in the display in the window.

This small restaurant is nestled in an eclectic area of Blacksburg with lots of other small restaurants. You place your order at a counter and a server brings it to your table. Assuming the prices reflected portion sizes, I ordered way too much. In essence, I ordered two medium-sized lunches. We sat outside in perfect temperature. The server found us... More

In the past I have loved Souvlaki but today was an exception. While waiting to place an order, I watched the same worker behind the counter handle food with one glove on, remove gloves to scratch hair/head and wipe sweaty neck, handle money, clean some counters with chemical cleaners and then go back to preparing food with NO GLOVES on,...
