We normally like ordering from this restaurant as they have good Mediterranean food. It’s not the best but in general it’s good. We have stopped ordering as the last time I went there the entire staff was not wearing facemasks and it made us concern on the spread of Covid - this included the staff. The other thing to know is that it takes them significantly longer to prepare meals as compared to other restaurants. The taste of the food is pretty good. We have order the chicken kabobs, chicken sandwich.

Seak Shawarma Platter and side salad. The beef was low quality, expected higher quality for the price. The onion in the salad was delicious. The pistachio baklava looked delicious but I did not have room to try it. It was freezing in the restaurant area. The thermostat was set on 56. My boyfriend had the Chicken Shawarma Platter. I would order that if I go back.

Like a lot of old time Blacksburg, there isn't a lot of service and your date won't believe you're eating here but it is a gem. The flavors are the richest, most interesting spices you'll find in the New River Valley and almost all the food is stellar -- if sometimes dry before tahini and balsamic vinaigrette. The kebab platter is my favorite but there is also a kebab sandwich and many other choices. I don't love the Egyptian potatoes but otherwise you're safe being adventurous. You will need to order and pay at the counter and you likely will have the restaurant to yourself if you're not there at a predictable time. The baklava is the house dessert (although they sell a ton of international pre-packaged desserts) and you can dine outside under cover most of the year. It is near Our Daily Bread and behind Cookout. It does a small fraction of one percent of Cookout but it is a better meal and quicker that the line that snakes all across the parking lot after dark.

Great curbside service, kind people, with food packed with flavors to savor. I have to not keep coming back for the baklava, but hard to resist!

My two sons and I stopped in for dinner since everyone mentioned the food and service being great. You walk in and can place your order at the counter or take menus to your seats. We were the only people in the restaurant. I was freezing and ordered coffee and the guys had bottles of soda. On Friday and Saturday if you order 2 platters you get an appetizer free. We asked for the shrimp appetizer and was told we could get the hummus with pita bread, which was very good and warm. Josh got a gyro platter with one wrapped small gyro in foil and a small order of sweet potato waffle fries (1.99 extra) I had read their menu on their website and really wanted a Greek salad. Only salad on today’s menu was a small side salad with lettuce cucumbers and Greek dressing on the side. Rick and I both had the Shawarma Platter, his with chicken, mine with steak. There were no peppers or onions on either. Mine just had shredded beef over rice, his was chicken over rice and tahini sauce on the side. There was no lamb kabobs or lamb platter which we were hoping for. We skipped dessert. The waiter took our orders and brought the food and we had to go find him to pay the check. Not worth $50.00 in my book and there wasn’t the same items on the menu as the menu on the website. No happy and the guys were still hungry when we got home.

My girlfriend lives pretty close to Lucie Monroe's, so we've eaten here on more than one occasion. My girlfriend really enjoyed the Greek salad and her falafel. I had a hamburger, and it was huge. Their fries are also very good. Their gyros are also worthwhile. The staff is friendly, and they always have our food ready when they say they will.

Lucie Monroe's has a fantaastic assortment of mediterranean sandwiches and platters. The food is really good and there is something for everyone. The gyros are really yummy and not greasy. They also have a wide assorment of coffee drinks.

I always regretted that I couldn't make it over to Christiansburg to visit Lucie Monroe's more, so when they opened their location in Blacksburg, I was stoked! Just as before, this location offers a wonderful food selection with very friendly staff. Food prep may take a little longer than some other places, but that is just because they work hard to make sure that everything they serve is up to their standards. I recommend the Shwarma Platter w/ Chicken and their Amazing Hummus for an appetizer. Today I tried a brownie - WOW. It was so delicious - if you like ooey-gooey brownies, then For Sure order one! (Note that they offer gluten free dessert options, but I had the non-gluten free one.) I would also like to reiterate how great the staff is here - they are always friendly and aim to please!

We went to this location yesterday, Sunday 7 October as it is one of the several locations that are pet friendly. The listed opening time for sunday was 1100 and we arrived at about 1105 to find no sign of life. What time are you open on Sunday? Looking in your restaurant for human activity - there was none. Posted time on the door for opening was 1100. In checking your web page you seem to be closed Sunday. Please advise on hours on Sunday, if any.

I frequent Lucie Monroe’s quite often for lunch. The Chicken Swarma Platter is absolutely delicious. With my side item I get a side salad. It’s true the salad is iceberg lettuce but it works for me. I’m not into fancy salads anyway. My wife usually gets the falafel and is always happy with it. The service however can be lacking and at times appears unorganized. I will always choose Lucie Monroe’s whenever I’m in the mood for Mediterranean food.

This started as a place for coffee, breakfast and pita sandwiches. Everything we've had here has been good. I read that they are closed for awhile and then will expand to include dinner. This is Egyptian and there are subtle differences between this and Greek. We like them both. The breakfast was tasty and a fun change.

This restaurant is newly opened and we tried it for dinner. They had a long list of cocktails and drinks however when we wanted to order the waitress said she cannot make them as they don't have most of the liquers! We ordered dinner platters - mostly vegetarian and the food was good but the plates seemed too cramped and the separate components ran into each other. For dessert we had homemade baklava which was good but pricey for the small piece. Overall the food was fine. The owner also came to the table and visited the table asking if the food was fine, which was a nice gesture. However I am unlikely to visit this place again or recommend it to anyone because of the service. The waitress was hurried and impatient and seemed to rush us - she was rude and appeared to not want to get anything like extra water, or ice. She needs training in customer service. I am unlikely to visit again until she is still employed there or they have better staff that are polite and customer friendly.

I joined a small group of friends for dinner at Lucie Monroe's recently. The restaurant was not crowded. There was a lady with some small children in the restaurant and, based on my observations, I believe they were related to someone working there. The children were loud, ran around the restaurant, went in and out of the kitchen several times, and even came up to our table and tried to talk to us while their mouths were full of food. Several of us ordered mixed drinks and it took about 15 minutes for those to be prepared. The restaurant's liquor license is relatively new and it seemed the man making our drinks was not an experienced bartender. The pina colada my friend ordered was served in a beer mug and had something carbonated in it (seltzer, perhaps). Our waiter was personable and did a good job explaining dishes to those who had questions. It took a very long time for our food to be prepared-around 45 minutes. I ordered the falafel platter. When it was served, it was warm, but not hot, which I would've expected given the large wait time. The amount of food was very plentiful for the reasonable price and my friends felt the same way about their portions. I didn't think the falafel were very aggressively seasoned, which was disappointing because my friends spoke very highly of the seasoning on their various dishes. The salad was fresh and had a nice variety of vegetables. I enjoyed the meal, but feel additional seasoning in the falafel would've really helped. I had high hopes for my first trying Lucie Monroe's, but the wait time for the food and the children running about put a damper on our dinner.
