Atmosphere was cozy and warm. Food was outstanding, service was wonderful and we'll return when we're in the area next.

What's the line from the old poem? "A loaf of bread, a jug of wine, and thou . . "? Well, technically Zeppoli's doesn't serve their wines in jugs, but the sentiment is accurate. Mom & I eat there quite often, so I'll offer a few "pro-tips". You'll get a choice of either white Italian bread or olive bread. I... More

My husband and I took our daughter here for dinner while bringing her back to Virginia Tech from a visit home for the weekend. The food was very good and the service excellent. I highly recommend Zeppolis when in Blacksburg and we are likely to return again!

An Italian restaurant with a wine store annex. Food was okay. A little pricey. More attuned to the Professors rather than the students and families. Still some may prefer a little dressier place.

It's hard to find because you can't really see if from the road (behind a gas station). However, it's worth looking for! We went here for lunch but I would say it's more of a dinner place. They didn't have any light dishes. My daughter & I both had pasta dishes and just boxed what we couldn't eat. My husband... More

Went for the first time last night and was happy I went. The food was great! I enjoyed the fact that you could go pick out your own wine from their extensive collection in their wine tasting shop. Their menu has some unique choices and has many of the classics you would expect from an Italian restaurant. I definitely recommend... More

While I appreciate the great service we received from our waitress, this restaurant fits squarely into the average category. First things first, the entire restaurant is decorated with horse paintings. Like, 30 horse paintings. Our food was mediocre at best; under-cooked pasta that was severely lacking in goodies (i.e. bacon) but plentiful in previously frozen peas and too-heavy sauce. Cheesy... More

Zeppoli's used to be my favorite italian restaurant in town. Great dishes, always loved (and still do) the shrimp cappelinni. For one reason or another I hadn't been back in a couple years. I was disappointed that the place had aged a bit. And this might seem terribly petty, but there were plastic table cloths on the tables. When you... More

If you are Italian, you know there is more to our cooking than spaghetti and meatballs or chicken alfredo. I am always disappointed whenIi go to an Italian restaurant and the comfort food that Nonna made is not on the menu. Even more heartbreaking is to find no cannoli on the dessert menu. I have to say Zepolli's menu had... More

It has been about 4 years since my last visit. They have gone downhill in quality. Service was simply mediocre. I ordered their standart Taste of Italy. The linguine was excellent, as was the meatball. The chicken parmesan was burnt on the outside to the point that about 1/3 of it was inedible, the rest of simply overcooked. The remainder... More
