We ordered for delivery. They gave an time estimate for delivery when the order was placed and then called with an earlier update. The food arrived exactly when they said and was hot. The portion side was large enough for two meals. For my taste, the tomato sauce was a bit bland. It was not anything special but a solid, dependable comfort meal.

We stopped in for light lunch. The garlic toast, Cesar salad and antipasto salad were more than enough and certainly hit the spot! Waitresses were extremely pleasant as well as efficient. Surroundings are old school but in a charming way with character. We will stop back for a dinner when we are back in town. The entrees looked and smelled delicious!

This restaurant is right off the main street in Winooski. It's not that big but we went early and had no problem getting a table. The place filled up a little later. Looked like a local favorite. Very friendly staff. Food was served nice and hot. Nice size portions. Quality of the food was good.

A recent dinner at Papa Franks was a thorough disappointment. The baked ziti was inedible…soggy noodles covered in soggy cheese. Had to send it back and settle for ziti with meat sauce which was just short of okay. Worse yet was the veal parmigiana which was also inedible…tough and overcooked. Will definitely not return.

Tried to eat here on vacation. Keyword is “Tried”. We arrive 45 minutes before closing. Waitress stated that the kitchen was backed up so they were no longer seating customers. We drove 20 minutes to get there and paid $16 to park. My advice would be to call ahead and make sure they are still seating customers prior to your planned visit.

On our drive from NY to Quebec City, we took some time to see VT. Finding this place in a small town neighborhood was a wonderful surprise. Garden salad and garlic bread to start.....both excellent. Really super. Followed up by baked ziti, on our waiter's suggestion, and a side of broccoli. Really good Italian food. And the place was packed on a Monday night.

We are from out of state and found this restaurant via TripAdvisor and decided to give it a go. Love the old vintage atmosphere with original wooden floors, photos and vibe. Got a meatball sub small and the sauce, bread and meatballs were delicious and savory. Great prices - 2 of us ate for $22. Definitely worth a stop. It wasn’t busy but it was about 2 pm.

In all the years that I've traveled to Winooski with my husband (who grew up there), I've never eaten at Papa Frank's. We had a hankering for Italian and it was suggested by my in-laws. We put in an order and I went to pick it up. WOW! What large portion sizes. Fantastic. The food was delicious! I got ziti. My kids shared a pizza. My husband enjoyed some of all and a salad. We have leftovers for days.

This is one of those places where you just feel comfortable eating. Though it's not the best pizza in the area, the atmosphere and food are pretty good. Just a nice place to patronize.

a proper 'locals' restaurant - well off the traditional tourist areas. We went here for evening meal recently while in the area.
Food was excellent and very reasonably priced, staff were very attentative (but not overly so) and if we lived locally we would be there very regularly...

After arriving in Winooski after a long drive, then facing some difficulties with our home away rental- we were exhausted. Too tired to go out again for some groceries or hitting a restaurant - we called Papa Frank’s for a take out pizza. It was a two minute walk and honestly seriously good pizza! Sauce was very good, and the crust was perfect. They offer pasta dishes too.

We were twice during the same weekend. First time, we tried the parmigiana and the cheese ravioli. Very good. Second time, we went for a pizza. Gorgeous. Really. Believe me, it was the best pizza we ever had for many years, even in Europe! Do not hesitate at all! And do not believe the bad reviews, they seem outdated!
