My sons and I ate at Our House Bistro during a recent trip to the Burlington area. Both boys had their signature macaroni & cheese and enjoyed it. Helpings are huge! They also ordered milkshakes, which they loved. I wanted to order the chicken pot...pie (based on others' recommendations), but they were sold out, so I had the portobello sandwich instead. We had a large party so we called ahead and the woman on the phone had a foul tone to her, and stated we need 24 hours for reservations and we are getting busy so if you want to come, come quickly. We said yes...we are on our way. So we get there, and feel like we were a burden the minute we walked in, and they said we just seated an 8 person table so you will wait 30 minutes. They were extremely un-welcoming, so we left. This place had no Customer Service skills. Do yourself a favor go someplace else, as Customer Service is key to any establishment. If the response was even a littler friendlier from the phone to in person I would of given a second try in the future.More

We've eaten here several times during visits and we've never been disappointed. There is an incredible array of appetizers, salads, entrees - and a creative array of Mac n Cheese dishes. Local breweries are featured taps. Prices are very reasonable and quality is great. Booths,...tables and bar seating. It's not huge, but worth the wait.More

Small, uniquely decorated restaurant. Lots of old lunch boxes and other interesting memorabilia. Keeps you entertained while waiting for you food. Service was very good as was the Vermont Company coffee. I ordered the Caesar salad and a cup of the “world famous chowder”. The...Caesar salad is a $9 huge bowlful of lettuce with some croutons and a smattering of dressing. Totally unimpressive. The chowder was good but I’ve had better. It had shrimp, clams, bacon, celery, carrots, onion and was supposed to have smoked sausage but I didn’t have any in mine. My spouse ordered the Eggs benedict with sourdough bread, bacon, spinach, poached eggs, and a small side salad. He said it was ok but nothing special. So a lot of nothing special for $40. I really wanted to like this place but we won’t be back.More

Stopped here based on reviews. A small place in a college town. We sat at the bar just to get in without a long wait. This place could easily support a bigger venue. Parking is a challenge, we scored a spot in the paid lot...just up the hill. Mac and cheese is great and it's a hefty portion. The soft pretzels and cheese were super yummy. Hubby had the pulled pork. Great place if you can get into it. Only takes reservations for 6 or more. Wont take your name over the phone to get on the wait list. We sat at te bar and it was fine. Fun pub! Lots of very creative mac and cheese combos. Honestly, something for everyone! Great pasta and cooked to perfection. Our party of 5 had 3 different varieties of mac and cheese, the portabello sandwich and the chicken waffles. The rosemary fries are jazzed up...with extra flavor and are delicious. The only critique was the chicken was a bit overcooked and dry on the chicken waffles. Fun to see the vintage records and lunchboxes as part of the decor. Great food and service.More

We were very hungry when my wife came across their web site. She found something she really wanted to try; I wasn't sold on Mac and cheese but agreed to go and sooooo glad I did. It was delicious. I had a jambalaya mac and...cheese that was just bursting with flavors and the portion was filling. I finished my meal but left absolutely stuffed. My wife took a good portion of her meal home and made another meal out of it. Atmosphere was casual and fun. Waitress was friendly and attentive. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a full 5 rating is that while we ate, there were a couple of flies that hovered around our table and it just got annoying. Then I went to the restroom before we left and in there were a bunch more flies - so that was also annoying and somewhat disturbing. But the food was certainly great tasting.More

I really did not think I would like a restaurant that specialized in Mac and Cheese but oh my goodness was I wrong. It’s hard to explain how amazingly delicious it was. My husband and I took our two daughters 8 and 11 and each...enjoyed our own dish. We did walk out with some leftover and they were such a treat the next day. We originally planned to go to the place next-door, but since they were full we gave Our House a try, and were thrilled we did. Our food was delicious and our server was personable and attentive. (The coffee was also extra good.) Skip the others...and give them a try!More

We last ate there in August of 2015 and I was very reluctant to go back. Boy, was I wrong!!! I started with their "award winning" they claimed, clam/seafood chowder. It was awesome, probably the best I have ever had. My wife had the irish...egg rolls. Again great and plenty of it. We shared a lobster mac and cheese and we took half of it home. Delicious!! Total indulgence of comfort food. The Mac & Cheese skillets are amazing, but Good Lord get the maple-jalapeño Cheese curds!
