In the middle of a small town is a stellar restaurant. A charming informal environment, surrounded but not overpowered by railroad memorabilia. And for its location, an amazing menu, clever, thoughtful, more than sufficient choices (too many and one wonders if a restaurant can pull them all off), perfectly prepared and very artfully presented. They have enough for gluten-free requirements. Thank heavens that they survived the pandemic...may they keep going. And for safety's sake, make a reservation! They are justifiably popular especially on weekends.

You can always come here and get a very nicely done pasta dish with fresh ingredients. The chicken, beef and fish dishes are also good on any given day. Service here is very friendly and you won’t be disappointed with any of the dishes. If you’re ordering one of their nice rustic pasta dishes the half portions still leave you plenty to take home. The large size could feed you for a couple of days! We’ve been coming here for the past 5 years. It’s always consistently good!

We have been to Windsor Station each of the three times that we have been to the Town of Windsor. Everything has always been perfect. This time was no exception. We were greeted right away by the attentive host person. We were escorted, right away to our outdoor table that we had reserved. The waitstaff was very attentive but not obtrusive. The food was all perfect from the special soup, which was a Sausage and Kale soup. The same soup was on special 22 years ago on our first visit. This soup was done by a different chef with a different twist. The entree's we both had were delicious homemade pasta dishes. Homemade pasta can be tricky, we've had had it gummy and chewy elsewhere, but this was perfect. The deserts were also incredible. This is an active train station, and the ambiance is still set up to feel like and old fashion train station. We were lucky enough to see the train stop here during dinner.

Great food! Made a dinner of appetizors — meatballs with riccotta, brushetta, fabulous tasty salads. Superior friendly service! Atmosphere of an old train station is welcoming and warm. Even the background music tracks were an addition to our enjoyment.

Very nice atmosphere, but that is about it. We have been here in the past with a corporate group, it was ok then. We went back to try it again. We will not make that mistake again. I had fish and chips, the same as when I was with the group. With the group it was great best ever. Last night it was slimy, with a greasy taste. The haddock was also under cooked. They serve the meal in a bowl. With the fish and French fries draining the grease I could have made gravy. The topper was $18.75 for 1 Manhattan from the bar. The wait person wasn’t very sympathetic, but did get the manager. We will never go back!!

we really do not take too kindly to rude drunk customers who swear at our staff like they are servants. You ordered a Whistlepig manhattan, which is cheap at $18.75, we should have charged you 25$ for your attitude.

We visited for dinner with two very young children. The food was delicious, the outdoor dining area was great and the reservation system convenient. The food was delicious and it was nice to see some unique options on the kids menu.

We were spending “out of the blue” type travel weekend with friends and ended up in Windsor looking for a friendly bar to spend the end of our day… we accidentally found the Windsor Station and could not have been more pleased. The building is absolutely enchanting. The bar and restaurant was built in consideration and conjunction with the beautiful railroad station it once was. The drink menu and food menu both wide and appetizing, both had both something for everyone. The establishment also, like many in Vermont, concentrated on local farm to table. Most of our group try a cocktail with some kind of local twist and we were all pleased with our decisions. Our group got the Alfredo, the mussel special, and a meatball appetizer, and we all hummed through our food. If we ever come this way again we will find this place for sure. You should too!!

This was my parents' favorite restaurant, so I had to eat there when I was in the area for the first time in over 20 years. It's still great. I always used to get steak there, but this time I went for the pasta with Italian sausage and peppers. Really good! The only complaint I have was that there was so much food that I couldn't finish the lime cheesecake for dessert! The Montepulciano was very nice, too.

This was our first and only choice for our one and only night out for dinner while staying in Windsor for the week. It was an excellent choice! Dinner and service was fantastic! Having a table next to the windows inside the ticket agent area was an added plus, especially when the 6pm northbound Amtrak came through and later in the evening a freight train heading south came through the station. The station itself is a sight to see!

We had spaghetti and meatballs, and fettuccini with chicken, shrimp, and sausage. We started with a salad and chowder, and finished with raspberry chocolate cheesecake. Everything was excellent. Our server was friendly, a little forgetful but very attentive and took good care of us. The repurposed train station was very charming, a lovely environment for a wonderful meal.

We made a reservation and our table was ready for us when we arrived. Sarah, our server, was right over to take our beer order and gave us time to enjoy them prior to ordering our food. I ordered the pastrami sandwich which was fantastic and came with fries. Mrs. B ordered the hamburger with an egg on it. Both meals were delicious and the service was excellent.

Called at 3pm to check if we needed a reservation for 2 ppl as they had been closed the evening before. It was suggested and we made the reservation and so glad I did. Homemade pasta was delicious, i ordered the Basin Street Alfredo which has chicken, shrimp and andouille sausage in a slightly spiced alfredo sauce. It was legit one of the best pastas I have ever eaten the sauce was perfect and delicious not too spicy, not oily just perfection and the spice mix with the three proteins and homemade linguine was devine. I got the full order and would have eaten it all but with pasta that good wanted to then try the tiramisu. Also fantastic! I would honestly come back to Windsor, VT just to have that pasta again, can’t wait for the leftovers tomorrow! You can believe how good it is because I only ever leave a review when I am blown away with something! Enjoy if you ever get the chance but double check their hours and days of operation.

We were on a ski vacation with my son and his girlfriend. We looked at the reviews and chose Windsor Station. We were not disappointed. The setting was warm and quaint! The food was spectacular!! We had the Chicken Piccata, Grilled Sirloin Chimichurri and a Steak Special. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our server was warm and had a great understanding of the menu. She was able to answer our questions easily. I highly recommend the Windsor Station! We will definitely be going back!
