We were greeted with a smiling young lady to check us in !! We were earlier then check in and she brought us right to our beautiful restored room number 15. We decided to stay put and eat at the inn. We had Kira as our waitress! Amazing in every aspect . Everything she recommended was spot on . We... More

I can't speak to the lodging but only to the restaurant/food experience.Situated on a hill overlooking the western hills, you have a wonderful view with the gorgeous VT sunsets. So we arrived to sit on the deck just at sunset and were told, "It gets cold out here and we can't guarantee you a table inside if you decide to... More

4 of us came for drinks in the bar around 5:30, (we were the only ones), had high expectations...the bar is pretty and very cool in the fact that the bartender is below us in his "'pit" (which we loved) so its not a typical high bar. The sun was setting thru the trees outside coming thru floor to ceiling... More

Getting a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich this morning at 8am at The White House was a big problem for the staff. There wasn't a guest around and I see why. Who would want to inconvenience the staff or at least I felt that way. So I drive done to Dot's restaurant in town. Wonderful place. Maybe I... More

The White House Inn is a beautiful facility. We didn't stay there, but went for dinner with friends. We were disappointed in the menu selections. Basically, they offer pub fare (plus sushi) with a very limited selection of dining entrees. The White House used to be a place for fine dining and now is a place for excellent burgers. But... More

The dining was superb. The chef has classical training and the palette was so pleased! Exec Chef Chris is so talented! Try the ribs for dinner and eggs beni for breakfast!

The renovations are incredible and the grounds are beautiful and we will eat here again. It's a beautiful spot and the staff were awesome. We didn't really get a big variety of the food they offer but we tried the sliders which gives the opportunity to try a variety of their specialty burgers. There was more greasy bread than burger...
