The Anchor is a great restaurant conveniently located in beautiful downtown Wilmington. They have an extensive menu of fresh seafood offerings in addition to chicken and steak. The service is also wonderful.

Five of us enjoyed a nice dinner on the front porch. Service was excellent. All dinners were well prepared. Reasonable prices. All employees wore masks. We will definitely return for another pleasant dinner.

Been there several times over the years and never been disappointed. Service and food always great. Had crab shrimp/ stuffed mushroom app, nothing but mushrooms and they were cold. Living at shore was reluctant to order fried clams but took the chance. Just a overcooked...fried bunch of smallest clams imaginable, wouldn't be surprised if they were out of a bag.Fries as well were scorched.Never say anything but was so close.Tough times for everyone but expected better. Just a heads up to management. They always have Island Creek Oysters which are the best you can get!More

Skied hard today, hot tub and wanted to go out for something nice, most joints in Wilmington were closed at 8pm (understandably by CoVId). I called Anchor at 740 and they said come on down. We were last served, but never rushed. Had a couple...of tasty IPA’s , st.Louis ribs, steamers and lobster roll. Staff was wonderfulMore

We made a reservation and had no problem getting in. The food was very good. We ordered the Classic Shrimp Scampi and the Baked stuffed Shrimp. The staff were very nice, especially Larry our waiter.

If you're looking for a good meal in a comfortable setting at a reasonable price, look no further. I ordered swordfish that was delicious .My wife ordered a mixed green salad with a piece of salmon. She loved it! The waitress was friendly and always...nearby if we needed anything. We'll definitely go there again when we're in Wilmington Vermont.More

Walked in on a Tuesday around 445. One table occupied. Was asked if we had a reservation! We said no. We were told they were booked for the entire evening. REALLY? AN EMPTY RESTAURANT AT 445 AND NO ONE IN SIGHT? We politely said ok...and left.More

The Anchor is a wonderful restaurant that we have frequented many times, sometimes with large groups and other times as a couple. They are always friendly and make every evening a great one. The food is creative and delicious. We are so glad to see...them reopen.More

Food was good. We had a chicken pesto special and broiled scallops. Portions were perfect. Expected to wait a long time for a table but got seated immediately on a Saturday night. Would to again the next time visiting the area.
