This place has stiff competition. Who knew you'd have so many places for fine dining in one little town in VT? We tried most of the highly rated places in Wilmington but we came back here again and again. Their salad and rolls kept us coming back. The food (in particular the Prime Rib) was excellent and our server, Larry... More

Prior to coming to Wilmington for a week vacation I read up on the various restaurants as well as places to go and things to do, the Anchor had good write ups as a good seafood place to eat. My wife had the seafood sampler and I had the 14 ounce New York sirloin. Both myself and my wife were... More

The Anchor is a staple in the Valley. You always get a good meal with plenty of food. A basic dinner salad with delicious dressings and warm rolls kick off your meal. The Onion Strings are delicious. Stuffed shrimp is a favorite of mine as well as the Ahi Tuna. I find the service to be friendly and efficient and... More

Nice dinner outside on the 2nd floor porch Attentive staff. Chowder is good. If you opt for the stuffed fish, the breading is a bit heavy. A good place to try if you are in the area.

Made reservations - arrived on time and were informed that they were already out of oysters, steamers and prime rib. We placed our orders and waited an HOUR AND 45 minutes for our main meal to be served! Drinks also took forever. Appetizers were served sporadically. We kept telling the waitress that we had been waiting a long time for... More

A staple in Wilmington. Friendly atmosphere and good food. Just be prepared for large portions and salad and sides with main entree.

We were three adults coming from a beautiful Sunday concert at the Marlboro Music Festival, looking for dinner in the area. We arrived at about 6 PM and were seated upstairs (at our request) where we proceeded to enjoy a peaceful, comfortable, leisurely dinner. Our friend enjoyed her pre-dinner Manhattan. Two of us ordered salmon and one ordered scallops, all... More
