Really slow service!

Traveling in the NW and found Asian Bistro nearby our hotel. I had the chef's special duck with scallions which I would not get again, tasted burned. Wife had tangerine beef which she liked but could find no dried tangerine. The problem was that there was only one server running her "tail' off so service was almost non-existent. Nobody wants to work with all the 'free from me' government money. Would I go back? Probably because they had an interesting & extensive menu and the servings were well proportioned . The house fried rice was good as were the soups. Felt sorry for the poor waitress......frazzled, running and alone.

Reasonable food, Reasonable value

We stopped here on a Sunday, July 4th holiday weekend. The restaurant was fairly empty at 6 PM, but there was a steady flow of take out orders. The specials were all reasonably priced. I ordered the Cantobese Seafood Medley; see the picture I attached. It was good, with several nice pieces of shrimp and scallops, and a small lobster tail. All in all, it was good for the price.

Walking distance to my hotel. Basic Chinese menu. I chose the “diet special” which lets you choose protein, vegetables and sauce from the online menu

Some of the worst Asian food I have ever had. Fried food is overcooked and soaked in oil. Literally, you can squeeze your egg roll and a cup of oil will come out. Sushi took forever to come out and was cold like it was just out of the fridge. Seaweed was chewy and not fresh. Rice was not good. Overpriced and disappointing.

I dislike writing negative

I dislike writing negative reviews. This place was very dirty. It looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed for weeks as there was food under the tables and dirt and crumbs in walk ways between tables. Staff was unfriendly and they weren’t busy — I fact I think we interrupted a napping waiter in one of the booths. We had a late lunch. The food was okay (not great). We won’t be going back. It’s too bad because this restaurant use to be very good. Poor management can ruin a good restaurant.

As terrible as it looks…

It looks awful….in a shopping center by the movie, but we thought we would give it a try in case the food was good….it was truly terrible. Tuna sushi was grey, we were picking rotten lettuce out of our salads, the waitress was so rude as she threw food down with one word comments….it smelled like the old dirty rug. You are safer to go somewhere else!

Never got my food

After waiting for more than an hour and a half for my order, I left. There were several people waiting to be served before me, so it was unlikely I would be served in a reasonable amount of time. This did not seem to be a particularly busy time of day as it was close to 9pm.

Great Service

My wife and I ate dinner at A.B. twice since in the last couple months. The first was in July was for our 11th wedding anniversary. The second was for her 35th birthday. The service both times, and previous times, was excellent. I tried the Duck with Onions and Scallions Kitchen Special on Sept. 5th. Absolutely delicious! Our server, Sarah, was excellent. I do not remember our server's name on our anniversary date, but she was/is excellent too. We shall return, again. Keep up the good work A.B.!

Surprising good

I usually don't like oriental food but I was pleasantly surprised by both the meal and the service. I do like curry, and their special curry dish was as good as any I had eaten overseas!

We ate there a few weeks ago and the experience was OK. It took forever to get waited on and then it seemed like it was a chore for the waiter to do it. The food was decent but not unlike anything we could get at any other strip mall restaurant. We tempted fate and returned again this past weekend. Huge mistake. The waiter was rude from the time we walked in the door until we spoke to the manager about his unprofessional service. It started when he “threw” the menus in the table and it ended with him having a hissy fit because we wanted an item removed from the bill that was never brought to the table. He stormed away with the incorrect bill and when he returned he hovered over us until we paid, at which time he yanked the bill out of my wife’s hand before she even finished signing her name. Everyone can have a bad day but the service on the two different trips by two different waiters leads me to believe it’s not that uncommon. Furthermore, the food was bland and flavorless on this most recent trip. There will be no third visit.

The restaurant offered Asian fare. It had the typical Chinese restaurant food with Japanese sushi and sashimi and Thai food. A bar is available at the front if one only wants drinks. The atmosphere is relaxed.

This place has gone downhill drastically

It has been years since we went here. We went for lunch, given the fact the place was pretty much empty should of been a big clue. The place is run down and very dirty. The staff have plenty of time on their hands and could be cleaning things up but don't seem to care. The food was not the freshest, something you don't want to hear about a place serving sushi. I will not go here again unless things change.

NEVER, EVER AGAIN!

Food - The Won Ton Soup came in a weird brown sauce with hunks of garlic and scallions. The Won Tons were completely brown and soggy. The Sesame Chicken came in huge breast size pieces, not cut into strips at all and the very sticky white rice doesnt even come on the plate, it comes in a separate bowl all gross looking. Service - The waitress has no business working with the public. Plates were pretty much thrown at us. Never came and asked how things were. Did come to fill water glass and reached across me, poured the water and splashed it on me and in my plate of food.....never filled my friends glass who had less than I did in it. I wanted to pack up my own left overs and she wasnt happy with that. i got 2 small take out containers which werent really sufficient. I was gathering the sauce on my plate to put over the chicken in the container and she grabbed the fork from my hand, lifted the plate in the air and proceeded to scrap my plate into the container. This was my first and last visit there!

We had a graduation lunch at Asian Bistro and there were 10 of us. Everyone had a different specialty including soups, which were good. I am partial to hot and sour soup and it was very good.. Others had luncheon plates and the various specialties were very nicely done. Service was very good.

So, the food was ok, not good, but ok. The ambience and decor left a lot to be desired. But, the service was cordial, the servings were copious and the food came fairly quickly. When I visit the USA, this is what I expect to see in the average restaurant, and that's what it was. Would I go back, yup, if I couldn't find any alternatives in the area.
