Garden center onsite. Lots of choices. Hot coffee. A place to sit and eat if you wish or you can take it with you.
this is right off rt 91 in south central VT. a huge farmstand w/some tables and many homemade food items. delicious apple cider donuts.
Allen Brothers Farm store has a little bit of everything fresh-vegetables, drinks, pizza, sandwiches; the best home-made apple cider donuts on the east coast! They've added an ice cream stand, a separate wine area, and more plants/flowers. There's a deli area to order fresh items; inside...and outside tables, restrooms; beverages of all kinds; frozen and fresh items; breads, fruits etc. A fun stop while driving around Vermont.More
Like many Vermont farmstands, this one offers lots of good products. But unlike some, it doesn't offer much in the way of warm cooking. I stopped for breakfast and got a pretty run-of-the-mill breakfast sandwich. So stop for maple syrup or apples, but not the...breakfast.More
If there is one place that is all things Vermont, this is it. Even ice cream in the summer, apples in the fall, xmas trees in winter, but stop by for the daily menu. If your looking for a place to stop when headed north...or south on RT91, you will be pleased.More
We went here expecting to find an Apple orchard. We found a gas station, convenience store, nursery and farm market. The store has a Large variety of fresh made food and take and bake items. You can buy an Apple Pie, Fresh Apples or even...an Apple Tree. Convenient location for a quick stop.More
In the fall, my family always looks forward to going to Allen Brothers. It is our first stop in the State of Vermont, just off Interstate 91, exit 5. There's such a variety of hot and cold food offerings, plus mulled cider and fabulous pies....The tuna wrap is one of the best to be had. And we always buy wine and Vermont wineglasses. If you need refreshments, flowers, vegetables, pastries, Vermont gifts or just gas for your vehicle, this is where you want to stop.More
Stop here if you want great food (and need gas). Everything looks fresh, we had pasta for the kids and some panini sandwich, tasted very good. I do definitely recommend this place.
I really love the home made food here although over the last couple years I have noticed the quality is not as good. The soups used to be original and always available.
Nice place for a quick bite--good selection of basic lunch time items, fresh ingredients from local sources. Nothing fancy, but reliable.
Lots of choices for breakast - (egg sandwiches, etc), salads, sandwiches, pizza, full deli. Made in house! Some items made earlier in the day so you can get back on the road or made to order for you. Cider donuts, fresh breads, pies & cookies...from their bakery. Maple bacon potato chips are my favorite! Fresh cider in season. Nursery and garden stand in season.More
From outside looks inviting. It's a fuel stop, nursery and large deli. Staff very polite and helpful clean and tidy environment. They also have lots of local products cheese wine honey and they have there all famous Allen bros cider donuts which I didn't try...but looked super.More
Allens is foremost a Nursery with a wide selection of plants, trees and flowers. It also serves as a marketplace and deli type eatery. Everything is well presented and the food there looks very good.
I know you can get gas or plants and flowers. That you can see from outside but inside they have delicious pies, sandwiches, and other items for a quick dinner. I picked up eggplant parm, quiche, and chicken pot pies to have for a quick...super during the week. The cider donuts were going fast. The peach cobbler was almost mine but I'll try that another time. With birthdays for my grandchildren coming up soon, I spotted a few items that were really different to add to their gifts. I didn't dare go into the room with the wine selections. I'll save that for next time tooMore
