Its risky to do Turkey day dinner at a restaurant. We did it once when my sister was in New York, and this was the second time. It was very good, everything tasted fabulous. The Squash soup though really blew my mind more than anything!

Visited the Hermitage Inn for my 25th birthday and they served us rabbit pot pie and one of their fancy mac n cheese plates. The food was very good and the portions were far enough to fill you up. Server was very personable and continuously checking on us. Hot tub was cool too, sitting right on a babbling brook. Great... More

Casual yet elegant at the same time. Super service, casual atmosphere but memorable dishes. Must do if in Wilmington skiing Hermitage (Haystack) or otherwise.

We were in Wilmington for a friend's wedding and attended the rehersal dinner at the Hermitage Inn. The Inn was quaint, beautiful and the food was great. We had a wonderful time.

I've been going to The Hermitage for many years and have always enjoyed the food and friendly service. Recently they changed their menu and my wife and I tried the macaroni and cheese and the flatbread pizza . Both excellent!

I have friends who take me out to dinner when they come up to ski. It is always a week day evening after February vacation so we are about the only people in the dining room. For the last 3 years they have given our party of 6-8 a small cramped table rather than the larger tables with high backed... More

New chef, new, inexperienced staff, new and limited menu combine to make a very unenjoyable evening. Raw burger, swampy salad, grizzly, inedible steak. Slow and rude severs. When asked about the greens swimming in dressing, the server said "it is what it is." Will not return to what used to be our favorite place up here.

This place has gone so down hill. The turnover in the staff is a quick revolving door. The final nail in the coffin they are charging $52 for a bottle of Wente Chardonnay which I can readily buy for $13 tops. Shame on you!! Same bottle can be had at 1846 down the road for $23 Never coming back

We come skiing Christmas week for many years now and had dinners in this restaurant many times. Knowing last minute reservations are difficult and having a large party we called a week ahead. We made the reservation but the restaurant told us they will call back to confirm the next day. Nobody called. We called several times and finally confirmed... More

Been coming to this restaurant for years with family and friends. It was always one of our favorites, but this weeks Hermitage experience can only be defined as "dysfunctional". Not sure why management took a perfectly great business model and turned it into something less than ordinary. When the desert offerings overshadow the dinner entrees, something is wrong! For example,... More
