We last dined at the 1846 about four years ago - and at that time we had the scallop entree. My boyfriend has raved about those scallops since - so when we were in VT this past weekend, we had to go back. Sure enough - they still have scallops on the menu and the were just as good as... More

We have been here a few times and the food has always been very good. Not your typical tavern food. It has an upscale twist to many dishes. The sandwiches are excellent as well. The wait staff has always been friendly and courteous. Highly recommend when in West Dover, Mount Snow.

Good food, friendly staff and live music when we visited. A little pricey, but is par for the course compared to the other restaurants in the area.

We were looking for a casual comfortable place with decent food and we were happily impressed. Bartender was friendly and food was really really good. Very fresh and Presentation was great. Its a local place so you need to appreciate that atmosphere and except it for what is. Totally didn't expect the food to be so good. Im shocked when... More

Service was excellent but the food was just OK. Dessert was poor which was a $9 seasonal cobbler that was dry and doughy. This restaurant did not meet expectations.

My wife and I are not typically fond of eating at a bar...but the bartender at the 1846 Tavern makes it a treat. Good service, good food, good prices with live music on a regular basis.

During late spring/early summer, a lot of restaurants in the area are closed, so we were happy to find this place still open and serving. The outside and inside certainly match the 1846 name. Rough wooden columns and beams and dim lighting give it a cozy feel. On the other hand, there are framed sports jerseys on the walls and... More

I wasn't expecting to find such an outstanding dining experience within walking distance of my room at the West Dover Inn. But to my surprise my pallet was delighted with the food served at the 1846 Tavern. I had the Tenderloin tips and if I could have finished my meal, I would have ordered 2 more! I am still dreaming... A nice bar and a very upbeat and courteous waitress were big pluses for this restaurant. There were four of us who arrived a half hour before posted closing time of 9 PM. Wine selection very good. Beer selection heavy on small craft brewers. Our group had steak tips, a burger, fish and chips and a Bibb lettuce salad with... More
