Stopped in for lunch and had the French dip sandwich and hamburg patty with gravy, mashed and coleslaw. Everything was very good. The gravy was rich and delicious and loved the creamy Cole slaw. Service was excellent.
The family just finished another great meal from the Happy Hour! If you can, order take out from the Happy Hour during these difficult times and support our commumity. It not only feels good, it tasted good! Great people. Great food.
We went there tonight for valentine day dinner..we had to wait an hour and a half for our meal.my husband and my sons fries were cold my baked potato was cold..the three of us asked for med rare prime rib and they all came out...well done and cold..the three of us had drinks those were good..I asked to speak to the manager .I told her about our meals..she charged us for the drinks that was fine..but she charged us for one dinner..did I mention the prime rib was so chewy..I can't believe she charged us for one of the meals..as I was walking out I asked the gentleman sitting next to me how his prime rib was ....he looked at me funny and then said very chewy..it was no thicker that a quarter inch piece..I used to love this place..I just can't believe they charged us for over cooked cold food..if anyone asked me how my meal was I sure wont be afraid to tell them just how bad it was tonight...the waitress was very nice u will say that.. but having to pay for over cooked cold food is something else ..I do hope the owner reads this and gets back to me I would love to talk to him...More
My family eats at the Happy Hour every couple of weeks. The menu is wonderful and the offer comfort-food specials on the weekends. Lots of options, from seafood to sandwiches. The prices are very reasonable and they have a great salad bar that is included...with many of the meals. Never had a bad meal.More
We stopped in for supper and the specials were worth the price. Service was very good and pleasant. Lots of locals came in while we were there, which is always a good sign.
They do have a salad bar and buffet but we did not...try it.More
A long days journey to a Macindoe Falls reservation locked and left propietor-less left these TX travelers hungry and sans sleeping accomodations. Fixing the first issue was a breeze at the Happy Hour in nearby Wells River. Multiple cars from multiple states is usually a...sign of an above average eatery, especially one so far off the main routes. Leanna had us settled in and sipping beverages of choice in no time despite the fairly full dining room. Thursday night all you can eat Fried Haddock packs them in, and it was well worth the caloric and financial indulgence. A simple, cleanly laid out, easily accessible salad bar was fresh and refreshed regularly. The wifes broiled scallops (a dicey choice, to be sure, hard by the VT/NH border), were executed with both visual and oral appeal by the chef, whose culinary roots reached back to the Lone Star State. The modest building was clean, restrooms the same, parking up front a bit limited (c'mon, its Haddock night, what did you expect?). Another FRD (FULL RATINGS DISCLOSURE) here, folks, the extra half star definitely earned by the congenial hostess, chef, and the operator, eager to prove their restaurants name is accurate all night long, not just 4 to 7.More
We enjoyed sirloin steak and steak tips recently. This place has good service and very reasonable prices. Reminiscent of the 1960s, the menu offers a wide range of home style meals, soups, and desserts. The salad bar is included, as is soup and sides. No...frills, no stress.More
We had not had the opportunity to visit the Happy Hour in several months I believe since the new owners took over . The first thing we noticed was there was no longer a hostess.
In the past we had water delivered to the table...our drinks refilled during the meal this did not happen last evening . The salad bar was very well supplied the dinner was average.
we waited for quite a while for the check and another 20 minutes to have our card ran I finely gave up and payed with cash .More
we've stopped here a few times in the last couple years making trips to vermont, and it's decent food. we had salad bar, a cheese burger, and chicken fingers and all were good. the chicken fingers were a huge helping, clearly made fresh, and good...fries. a solid place to stop if you're driving up 91 and need a meal.More
