I have desperately wanted to love this place, however each time I have been my meal has been disappointing. Not sure what else to say except I will not be going back. The food has been cold, service just OK, price is a bit high, barbecue sauce mediocre.

They had fair BBQ, a nice back porch seating area, and used to have paint and sips but I just went by this place the other day and now it's out of business.

Visit this establishment when you get a chance. The menu is revolving and the cider selection is extensive. Try their southern style specials.

Waterbury, Vermont has become a restaurant destination for central Vermont, to the point where it is often difficult to get a table. My wife and I were delighted to try the Cider House BBQ and Pub at 1675 US Route 2 between Waterbury and Richmond. The food was clearly locally sourced, fresh, and very flavor full. We enjoyed a glass... More

Sadly -1000000 stars! We have been going to this place for over 10 years what the heck happned? The fried chicken was sooo dry, and the brisket was boiled beef. The burgers were hockey pucks, i swear. If the owner does not have his heart in the resturant anymore PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR. It is not fair to do to... More

Meh. Depressing interior. The ribs were OK, the bean burger was not delicious. Not a great selection of beers. Seemed like more of a local place than a tourist destination.

Outside weeds we growing everywhere and trash was on the porch. Coming in the door the smell of mildew was our next clue of things to come. We stopped at the bar for a drink, but didn't order dinner after seeing the general unkept conditions. The restroom stank of urine. Yuck

We have eaten there a few times this summer and last summer. I have never had a bad meal there. I can say that the baby back pork ribs were as good as I can remember eating anywhere. The alligator nuggets are good too. Brisket was very good. Even the cole slaw was just the way I like it. They... More

Don't judge a book by its cover-this was a new restaurant to try for restaurant week and we're glad we found them. We had the BBQ ribs and chicken and both were very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The gumbo soup was also amazing! They have a good selection of craft beers too. Give it a try!
