We enjoyed Blue Stone's food when they first opened in Waterbury. Have eaten their food since in Waterbury as well as Waitsfield and find it has consistently gone downhill from just ok to very poor. Last night we ate at Waterbury, the Caesar salad was...obviously very old lettuce with brown tints, dressing was tasteless and overall a terrible salad. Buffalo Soldier pizza was not like the original and overly sweet with burned red onion. That said I am consistently surprised that they can run the same menu for years on end, had not been back to eat there in some time (told myself not to frequent anymore after the last meals we had) but gave it a shot and it is the same menu that they have had for years and the quality more and more seems like it is coming right out of a box/freezer rather then produced in house. Service was very good/friendly/attentive; unfortunately the meal was a waste of money.More

The 3 little pigs pizza doesn’t list sausage included on the website menu. It was a takeout order so I called to let them know of the issue and the employee was quite rude, insisting I was wrong until she actually looked at their website....I was offered an insincere apology and then she hung up. Disappointing to get service like that here in Vermont.More

In a state full of foodie extravaganza... and on a Waterbury Main Street loaded with gastronomic above-averageness... this place never fails to disappoint. Everything is average. The service is appalling and the staff is, frankly, rude. Right now going to any restaurant is a chore....So they should be at least somewhat appreciative when locals try and visit. Who keeps things going when it's stick season or the state is shut down? Meh... don't bother. After they go out of business, maybe a decent pizza place will move in. Like, say , a Little Caesars. Or a Dominos. Guess all anyone cares about is whether the staff is wearing useless masks these days. Because if virus's don't get you, the awful food will.More

Stopped on my way home from playing golf at the Waterbury location. Had ordered garlic knots that I’ve had numerous times at the Montpelier location (which is now closed). Picked up and paid and when I got home opened the box to find that they...were all burned on the bottom, they were bland and really had no taste. they went from the box to the garbage. When I contacted the business in multiple forms, through their website and through FB messenger, they had read my message at 12:05 am on saturday. As of Monday afternoon I still hadn’t heard back from them so sent another message asking if they were planning on responding or if I should just go ahead and start sharing information with my friends and on social media. Later that evening I received a message that said we don’t deal with terrorists! Are you serious??? What a great wa to take care of your customers. I even told them how many times I had been to the Montpelier location and never had an experience like this one! Looks like they closed the wrong location. I will NEVER set foot in this place again! I’m not sure if it was the owner responding or a manager...it appears from other comments I’ve seen here that the owners aren’t really involved. I am far from a terrorist but if you thinks so... then so be it!More

On our latest trip to Waterbury, we were looking forward to a pizza from Blue Stone. The pizza menu is very creative; several choices appealed. We decided on The Stump Jumper - and loved it. The pie was perfectly prepared and delicious. We hope the...next time we visit, the pandemic will be history and we will be able to dine in. We may want to explore their deep menu but the pizza will be hard to pass up!More

Fresh ingredients in the pizzas. Large arugula salad was very tasty. Nice low key rustic / local atmosphere. Service friendly and prompt. We weren’t planning to come here but we’re glad we did.

Our waiter was very friendly, the food was typical bar food with a slight twist. Like the poutine short rib & mushroom, a salad with Tahini dressing, apples and sesame seeds, complimented our custom made pizza. Great beer list.
