We travel to Stowe every January and have found Harrison’s to continuously remain one of the area’s best dining experiences.

This is my third year coming to Stowe but my first time finally snagging reservations at Harrisons. From now on, this is a "must-go" restaurant every time I come to the area. For those of you who are on the fence, let me say this...-GO without hesitation. It is worth every penny. There are no pictures anywhere on the internet which do this place justice especially during the Christmas season. I travel frequently and have favorite restaurants all over the country - but this is now my favorite, hands down. The food and service were excellent. In a town of fine dining gems, this was still better than all of them. But the hidden secret here is the ambiance. For Christmas, it feels like you're in a cozy cabin parlor - stockings hung from the fireplace, small twinkle lights tastefully adding to the vibe, a crackling fire, and an arrangement of booths and tables which are all close - but also somehow very intimate. Quite simply if you are looking for the most romantic restaurant you've ever imagined, this one would have to be pretty close to the top of the list. Having visited all the other fine dining places within 15 miles in the past two weeks, this one still dominates. Simply amazing.More

After searching through Trip Advisor, I made reservations for Harrison’s! It turned out to be the BEST dinner on our Vermont anniversary trip!! The chicken piccata and chicken razorback were extremely moist and Perfectly seasoned!! Generally chicken can be on the drier side, but this...was cooked PERFECTLY!! It is hard to find excellent food and service in this post Covid world, but We found it at Harrison’s!! Chef’s kiss and a bow to the Chef there!!More

We went to Harrisons again, and I haven't reviewed this restaurant in a while because sometimes when restaurants are so spectacular so consistently, you take it for granted. I just didn't want to take it for granted in this case, and just let everybody know...how incredible this restaurant is, and how consistent it is. The food, the atmosphere, the service, it's just five stars across the board, and has never faltered. And I have been coming here for a very long time, and I mean decades. So kudos to Andrew and everyone there, and I highly recommend this restaurant. It's not only one of the best in Stowe and Vermont, but I would say in the country!More

Cosy restaurant with great ambiance and decor with seating in booths and stand-alone tables. Excellent service from staff. Good starters but the mains were the stand our stars including tenderloin, venison and NY strip - hands down gold star for the river trout dish which...was outstandingly prepared, seasoned and cooked with lovely accompaniments. Solid desserts offerings finished off an excellent experience and highly recommend eating here.More

Great selection of food for our group which included a pescatarian. We were able to share appetizers and have a delicious dinner. The salmon was especially delicious.

This restaurant deserves a number 1 ranking. The service is excellent, the restaurant is warm, nice drink menu and the desserts looked amazing. It’s nice that a high end restaurant like this offers a burger option - the Harrison burger. I like it so much...I order it every time. My wife enjoyed the salmon. Definitely our favorite restaurant in Stowe !More

We ate here on Christmas Eve. It was the regular menu, which we appreciated. The food was out of this world and the service was spectacular. We had the lamb chops and the salmon..both excellent choices. Highly recommend!

Our son Shahar recommended us to eat at this restaurant and he was right. The place is special, in a surprising basement. The food is delicious and served very aesthetically. We really enjoyed the service and the atmosphere.

Cozy restaurant, well-appointed and comfortable. I couldn't get a reservation and called to see if they took walk-ins or if the menu was served at bar. The young woman who answered on Saturday night could not have been friendlier, and encouraged us to come down,...explaining it's first come-first served but there was space. Arrived and sure enough, able to secure a high-top in the bar. Waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. SUPER attentive especially given a bar area is sometimes more hectic for a server I think? Food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh the food was SO GREAT!! CRAB CAKES: flavorful, fresh & tender. SALADS: Caesar Salad & House Salads - both were good. DEFINITELY fresh greens. SALMON & QUINOA & BUTTERNUT SQUASH: Cooked to perfection, excellent balance of flavors. Great portion size - filling. I would have liked a little more of the butternut squash as a "sauce" for the salmon. TUNA POKE BOWL: Good - but my husband would not get again - it was SERVED COLD and while he expected the poke to be cold he expected it with a hot rice so it wasn't what he wanted on a cold winter night. We didn't send it back or say anything, but flagging it for readers here. PROFITEROLES: Good. This restaurant should be in top few choices if you come to Stowe.More

What a lovely restaurant this is. We booked well in advance in order to secure a table and were not disappointed. Our server was Bradley and looked after us very well. I had the Maine lobster rolls and my wife had the pan seared salmon...and both were excellent. We both then had the key lime pie which was also excellent. Our only disappointment was that we had eaten on a Saturday evening and it was not open again until the Wednesday and we were leaving Stowe Wednesday morning otherwise we would have eaten their again. Well done to the Harrisons team.More

Harrison's is way to small. You might try idletyme. They have a separate room. Also, trattoria le fiesta has a separate room. Biergarten at von trapp lodge does events as well! 😊

We ate downstairs so not sure - but yes there is an outside patio where I would have thought well behaved small dogs would be acceptable. They are a very friendly team tho - so best give them a ring and ask!
